Good selection of food especially in the freezers (square sausage, morning rolls, haggis etc)A little disappointed to be served by an 18 year old canadian who couldnt understand my (Scottish) accent. However decent shop regardless

I LOVE this store!!! The staff are friendly and helpful. The aran sweaters in Irish wool are phenomenal. It's the next best thing to shopping in Dublin ☺️. I also love the grocery section for so many things. My favourites are the chutneys, tea, and custard powder like my nan used to make. The items in local tartans are fun! They are changing locations, and I'll be finding them wherever they move. I also may be visiting their west Ottawa location if there's a gap! Special thanks to Mac who helped us out a few times and was just great, and even remembered me ?.

A good selection of items that you won't find anywhere else, coupled with friendly and knowledgeable staff.Be advised that this location will be moving at the end of September 2023, likely merging with its other location, but I understand nothing is set in stone just yet.

Love that they carry vegan selection! The only reason I don't give them a 5 star review is that I find the one employee that seems to be the main full time guy is rude. He is short with everyone he talks too as well as argumentative. I've learned to simply ignore him and if I need anything I ask someone else.

Awesome selection of food and gifts from across the pond. I checked out the store for the first time, I usually go to the one in Bellscorner. Both stores are great and lots of free parking.

This store is a hidden gem in Ottawa if you're looking for wool scarves, knit sweaters, and anything else Scottish or Irish - including imported snacks/food, rugby/football attire, full formal dress, and boxing gloves to hang in your rearview mirror. They've even got jewelry. The clothing is usually available by season and the inventory is always churning so it's fun to drop in once and a awhile and see what's new.

Terrible business ethics. They should be ashamed of how they treated my 70 year old mother who was only trying to return an unworn scarf which they only sell there. She brought in the perfect scarf still in the bag they sold it to her in and they refused the return because she was just days late and this was around the holidays which made it more difficult to even get in the store with their funny hours. So they took 120$ from my poor mom even thought they're 100% sure it's from their store and never worn. I'll be advising my fellow European family and friends that this place has no respect for their customers, they just want to grab their money and run. Really sad human beings working here

Always great time doing groceries with a Scottish and Irish twist. Today, we restocked on haggis, beef pies, as well as a great selection of Easter chocolate treats.

Amazing meat pies, and a great selection of Scottish sundries, drinks and treats. Their clothing there is also very high quality (but i’m not Scottish enough to rock them)

Somewhat perplexed by these five star reviews - I’m British and this is the worst store I have ever been to.Upon entry you feel as if every move is being watched. There is no music or friendly atmosphere, you can hear your own footsteps and with one wrong move it could all be over. The place is so dated it’s like stepping back in time. I imagine it hasn’t been updated in years and looking at the sell-by dates neither has some stock. Even the shelves themselves are so unappealing. You feel as if you are rooting through your dead grandmothers pantry. The only difference is you are paying extortionate prices for the privilege. The food selection seems to be an afterthought, tucked away at the back, allowing all other areas to be filled with any old tat that may have a reference to all things British. Although this really capturing the essence of a drizzly stroll along Blackpool front - hence the one star! What is the reluctance to call it the ‘British store’ rather than the Scottish Irish store considering most of the food items are made in England and they so proudly advertise the Premier League with a picture of Dennis Bergkamp who last played 17 years ago. With so few places to buy British items in Ottawa this place has the chance to be a place people want to come rather than just endure to satisfy their chocolate digestive cravings.

Many British staples, including a range of haggis products in freezers. Clothes, food, trinkets and more. Ample parking and knowledgeable staff. A great place to come to stock up on some old favourites or to buy some niche items you can't find anywhere else. There are many high quality pieces of jewelry in addition to more "gimmicky" items.
