“Great variety of grocery items at a really good price. The meat section maintains all the food safety and hygiene protocols for which I always prefer to purchase my meats from MF Foodmart. They are also accommodating to special requests and takes order over phone if needed. Great staff, helpful and courteous.”
“This review is long overdue. I have shopped here for years. I worked in the Glebe in 2015 and again in 2022 through 2024. This is one of the nicest grocery stores in the city. The selection is excellent for the size of store and they have some specialty products I rarely see. Kira checked me out and expertly packed my bags, as I had the pleasure of shopping today! I was able to get the Guinness for my Irish stew too! Ran into Ian, such a terrific manager, and was assisted by Don who helped me take my groceries out down a very slushy sidewalk and waited until my Uber arrived. He helped load up and saw me safely on my way home. I really can't say enough about the service way more then 5. I would give them 100 stars. Thank you!”

“We found this place through a random Google search when we were looking for some Filipino items. We were making Kare Kare (peanut stew) and badly needed Bagoong (shrimp paste) and these guys had it!! It's a nice little store and the workers here are super nice. If you need some Filipino items, this store can be your lifeline!”

“BLACKBURN HAMLET ON This is my Metro of choice because of distance, friendly staff , meat dept and choices. some improvement in cleaniness of the outside of the Plaza, as of Fall2025. Thank you as great cashiers; cheerful and helpful. Store owner should consider providing paper bags (for fee) for those who forget their shopping bag, they are more sustainable than plastic. thank you!”
“I've been a customer for 30 years. The store has never looked better and there has been a noticeable improvement on the produce aisle ! For example, there were nice baskets of yellow beans for a few weeks this summer which I appreciated ! I sense the store is trying hard and that effort is also appreciated ! “This used to be my old neighborhood A&P back in the day, so when I stumbled upon a Metro I wasn't sure what to expect. I was not disappointed at all. This is a clean well kept, well stocked store. We were able to find all the things we were looking for. There is lots of variety and options available. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. There was plenty of parking available and easily accessible for those with mobility issues. There were plenty of carts to use in various sizes and all appealed clean and in good repair. We were especially pleased with some baked cheese bread from their bakery. No long lineups and I will happily be going back to this store!”

“Great grocery store. I go here weekly and find it better priced than Loblaws. The store is new and clean. My only issue is that the one corner of the store has a strange smell when it rains. I think some pipes are having venting issues. Hope they fix this so I can give Lincoln Fields Metro 5 stars.”
“UPDATE: 04.11.2024 I complained on the Freshco website and got a call from the store owner. He asked for receipts and said he is going to investigate the issue with cameras. I think something was presented on scales, so they added 155 grams to every weight they measured. Hope this was not intentional!

Be careful when you buy fruits and vegetables! I was scammed when I was buying some fruits!
The weight of the fruits was almost doubled on their scales.
When I came back, they confirmed that the “error” was made, returned me the exact amount, did not compensate anyhow the time and gas I spent to come back, and refuse to further investigate the issue!
I suspect that their management is aware of this scam. I will complain since many customers might be affected
You can see on pictures what I bought. For example, one apple weights 325 grams!”
“It's a smaller store, so they don't have much in the way of selection, but they try. Some of their prices are lower than their competitors and some not, pretty standard. Friendly cashiers and the pharmacy staff really shine, it's always nice to be recognized, especially while wearing a mask. 5 stars for the pharmacy.”
“Freshest food around because it's a smaller store with a high volume of foot traffic. Staff are super friendly and helpful and go the extra mile. Their cart staff are so friendly and offer to help you with your groceries to your car.”
