I am not impressed with the bike service at the St. Laurent location. My bike was there for 5 days, when I dropped it off for the minor tune-up I pointed out that the one of the screws for the back rack had come off and was lost on the ride to St. Laurent. The technician said he would fix it, along with the shifting problem. I requested and was charged for the minor tune-up $50. plus tax. As I'm riding the bike back home (I live near South Keys Mall) I can hear alot of noise coming from the back. I was quite dismayed to discover that the back rack screws were never replaced or tighten, this means that Conor, the technician, did not follow the minor tune-up protocol to check all nuts and bolts (which I was charged and paid for). The second issue is, I was requested to sign an electronic waiver that releases Sportchek of any liability on their bike repairs. I told the technician that the electronic waiver screen was black. Where was I to sign? He replied not worry about it; however, when I checked my emails at home I saw that the technician wrote on the electronic receipt that I had refused to sign the waiver which is untrue. I did not refuse to sign the waiver. Their machine wasn't working properly. This leads to the conclusion that if something did happen with the bike and I was injured Sportchek would be off the hook by stating that I refused to sign the waiver! I do not recommend the St. Laurent Service for bikes.

I went there to buy myself a new soccer ball, and then realized I was 2$ short, but then the cashier was so nice that payed those 2$ with his own card. I’m sorry I did not get your name but if you are reading this thank you!

With many people have been complaining, customer service does need a BIG overhaul, especially on the sales floor. Not like I go to this location a lot but at the odd times, the visits I've been there, don't even recall once that I have been greeted. Not that it's a big deal, but still...

So I bought a bike from this location in end of May. I have not been on a bicycle in a long time but did some research and decided to go with the diamondback.
So I bought the bike I wanted, spent over $600 with taxes in. They told me they could tune it/ check but it will take over a week. I declined this and signed the waiver and “assumed the risk”.
After a couple of weeks I noticed a couple of things off with it, so I took it to a guy I know, and there is a break pad missing and the de railer is set too high. Now I know I assumed most of the risk by signing the waiver BUT to
Sell a bike with a missing break pad !
Who is the incompetent person putting it together at the store ! The de railer is one thing, but a missing break pad. Even if I had let them “check it” how do I know it will
Be done properly ?
I also did notice that it looked like it was mostly teens working there on bikes in the back, I’m sure they are doing their best and gaining experience. But a missing break pad ? Come on guys ! I don’t expect anything from them I signed the waiver. I just didn’t think that kinda incompetence was
Possible.

Had a recent experience that left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth. I went to buy shoes. Took a few minutes, but an attendant came to help, find me the pairs i wanted to try. All good. Brings the shoes out and I try them.
What I didnt like was he begins to talk about a credit card offering. Even when expressing that I wasnt interested, he continued to talk about it.
I dont want to be encouraged/pushed to sign up for some damn credit card from a clothing/sports store. I just want to buy shoes.

Customer service needs some serious improvement at this location. I am visually impaired, and have a white cane which should be an indication of my disability. I went jn with the intention of purchasing a new pair of shorts; waited at the front of the store for an associate to notice me. I ended up having to find an associate myself, who spent a few minutes trying to help me find something. She let me into a fitting room, and when I exited to attempt to locate her the area was deserted. I found what I was looking for at a different store , for a lower price

The customer service is non existant. I waited like 15 minutes before someone came over to get me a shoe from the back. And then after 20 minutes of watching him service another person attentively running back and forth bringing them their shoe selection, I left. So almost 40 minutes wasted and didn't see a single shoe to try on. Very disappointing.
