Good food, good variety. The store needs a face lift and better organization in general. I love going there.

Best day in 2 years. There are plenty of staff at the bakery & cheese sections. The food was fresh. The only issue was at the cash. An unfamiliar young lady at cash. There were no salutations and didn't bag my food. No, thank you, either.

For over 30 years, Njaim (a.k.a Mid-East Food Centre) has been home away from home for the Lebanese community, bringing to Ottawa the many products and brands that the Lebanese people knew and grew accustomed to in the homeland.
The store expanded over the years to have a bakery on site, as well as a shawarma section, and a hot food section where you get fresh (home style) made meals. Also, the produce section has expanded, and now they also have their own packaged brand of hummus and garlic spreads, as well as meals, etc.
That being said, I think Njaim will always be best known for their amazing bite size pastries, the best labneh spread in town, and fresh raw meat delicacies such as kebbeh nayeh, asbeh or sawda nayeh and kafta nayeh.
It's also important to mention that Njaim is family owned and operated, which adds a nice touch to the place, considering that its competitors are big grocery chains that rarely prioritize customer service.
