This business is a staple to ottawas Chinatown. Always stocked with the ingredients I need for the south east asian cuisines I cook that often can't be found at the bigger box stores. Will continue to frequent Manphong, just wish they had better hours!

Super nice and welcoming clerk. Very nice to me and the other kids on my field trip. Didn’t know where I was going and she was so understanding 10/10 will gladly go again, totally recommend

Old school Asian supermarket located in the middle of Chinatown. Total disclosure: It's not very clean. It's pretty dirty here. I'm not sure it's ever been cleaned. And most of the displays are the cardboard boxes that the products arrive in. But it's got a great selection of things like rice paper and vermicelli, and rice noodles for pho, Pad Thai and Pad Sew. They also stock a ton of big bags of rice. There used to be more produce outside but I think thats all moved inside with Covid. On the subject of Covid, one of the things I also didn't like the last two times being here was the owners weren't wearing masks. That's a big deal for me. They do have plexiglass screens up but some of the employees were on the other side of of screen where I was which I wasn't comfortable with. Overall, if I still lived in Ottawa I would get my rice paper and vermicelli here but the mask thing may redirect me to Kowloon up the street.

Very packed with lots of merchandise. Be sure to check the expiry date on your products. It's happened more than once that I've bought expired products from them.

This is my go to place if i'm looking for petai/sa-tor/stinkbean as they're the only ones who carry them.Their selection of fresh produce might be limited, but it's definitely cheaper than the other markets around.
