The store manager of Rideau Centre, Rachel, is awful to deal with and has horrible customer service skills. After she made an error and charged me twice for my purchase, Rachel took no responsibility and offered no apology or remedy for her mistake. She became belligerent and argumentative when I questioned why I did not get a receipt showing that the first transaction had been declined. She just kept dismissively repeating that I hadn't been charged twice. At this point, I left the store and called their customer service number. My bank account summary clearly shows that I had been charged twice. I will not be shopping at Little Burgundy again.

The staff was highly unprofessional. When my father inquired about slipper prices, they simply pointed to the bottom of the slippers, despite him explaining he didn't have his glasses. Then, instead of assisting further, they gestured towards his sunglasses on his head and laughed.
In a retail environment, employees should prioritize customer assistance over idling behind the cash register. It's disappointing that three employees didn't even greet customers and instead engaged in gossip.
It appears the store lacks mature supervision, suggesting the owner is indifferent, possibly explaining their low 3-star rating.

I had a superb customer service experience from the sales team and specifically with Clea. I had to quickly replace my winter boots due to a boot failure and she was patient, offered me a number of options and at the end found the perfect match for me and my budget!! I will continue to have Little Burgundy at the top of my list for good-priced quality footwear purchases. Thanks Clea ?

No customer service… like at all…I’ve stopped by the location at Rideau Centre a few times looking for different colours of the New Balance shoes. They do not greet you at all, despite the store being empty. Someone could start breakdancing in the middle of their store & they wouldn’t bat an eye. Also, I once approached the counter looking for help & was not acknowledged. No “I’ll be right with you” or “Hi, just a second…” Nothing! How do you not acknowledge an entire human being standing in front of you, staring, waiting to be helped?I ended up ordering the shoes from New Balance themselves ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Store kept our money and never gave us the shoes. Ordered shoes at the end of July. Repeatedly went to store and were told shoes hadn't arrived. Finally contacted customer service number in October. Their investigation said shoes were delivered to store August 10 (store said they didn't have them). Because we took longer than 60 days from purchase then their policy is that we are not entitled to a refund or the shoes.

Went to buy a new pair of doc martins, and I couldn’t get any help from an employee. There were multiple customers standing/sitting around, seemingly waiting for help. The two employees were just standing at the register ignoring everyone.

i was there on the weekend ready to buy a new pair of platform vans, the store was completely empty, with 3 female staff members lounging around. no hello, no eye contact, absolutely no acknowledgment. it was like they were so annoyed i had interrupted their conversation. it was so awkward i turned around and left and bought my shoes at softmoc. they ended up being significantly cheaper too.i frequently pop in at little burgundy because i do like the selection, but this is the last time i'm made to feel like a burden for existing in a retail store. bye!

I went to buy shoe with my partner in rideau center but it was incredible bad experience for us. The blonde lady was very rude. She made us feel nervous and while she was bringing our shoe she threw the box. I couldn't ask anything. I won't shop here again.
