“It is a smaller LCBO, so the selection is a little more limited than elsewhere, but it mostly has everything you need. What makes it stand out is how friendly and helpful the staff at this location are. I accidentally dropped a can of beer which exploded and the woman running cash was nice about it and had the problem dealt with immediately.”

2164 Carling Ave, Ottawa“If you're having difficulty finding a store in stock of your favourite drink, this location is one of the best. Around holidays it may look crazy, with a long line, but don't worry! The staff are quick and efficient, while also happy to assist in any way.”
10AM - 9PM
1980 Bank St, Ottawa“Nestled in the heart of Ottawa, the LCBO is a libation haven that transcends the ordinary. From the moment you step through its doors, the inviting aroma of aged spirits and fine wines welcomes you. The staff, with their wealth of knowledge, are like sommeliers of the soul, guiding you through a curated selection that spans continents. The ambiance is a delightful blend of sophistication and warmth, making every visit an exquisite journey through the world of spirits. LCBO Ottawa is not just a store; it's a spirited adventure waiting to be uncorked.”
“This store is clean and well maintained, albeit somewhat on the smaller side. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and it's an easy LCBO to visit for a quick top-up.”
10AM - 9PM
22 Isabella St, Ottawa“A pretty large LCBO with a good selection of wine, beer, whisky, and rum. They do not have many people on the floor, so it was impossible to find someone to ask a question.”
10AM - 9PM
275 Rideau St, Ottawa“I dont normally leave reviews for liquor stores but i just had to for this one. Best wine selection in Canada. And special kudos to the employee named Greg who does wine tastings - that man is so incredibly knowledgeable about wines and super personable and professional. Hope he gets promoted one day. I ended up walking out of there with $200 in wine!”
10AM - 9PM
222 Richmond Rd, Ottawa“Not one of the biggest stores but definitely some good variety. Vintages get updated regularly but again, not the sort of depth you get at larger locations. Staff always friendly and helpful.”
“Ok I sent a email to head office. 1. You never have my wine, domain dor superior I have asked manager and employees for months 2. Store hours. I looked up all lcbo on Google 97 % close at 9pm, billings Bridge is crazy 1 says 6pm. the other 8pm. Not to discredit seniors but we do drink alcohol, I don't know your marketing strategy but there are 250 seniors who use lcbo at hampton. They live at kirkwood.Thank you, no one is listening.”
10AM - 9PM
858 March Rd, Ottawa“Once again - it’s a LCBO - you know what it is and you know what you will get. It seems to be a standards store. More selection than the smaller stores not as much as the larger stores”
“All the staff are very friendly, even the pan handlers out side have a cheerful demeanor unless they're fighting with eachother. The location is a little small but caters to a local Vanier population with many different tastes. If you're looking for alcohol and a show this a great place to revive both.”
10AM - 9PM
1642 Merivale Rd, Ottawa“Great selection, even greater employees.
****EDIT! Aug 6 7 pm .
New (ish) female employee with dark hair really needs to work on her customer service. I enjoy driving the extra 5 min for the employees however, she really should say Hi, fake a smile, and when I ask simple questions more than a “yes” or “no” answer. Not the first time this has happened. We all have bad days, but this has been the norm for her at least on 7 occasions.
It’s too bad. Every other employee is personable, knowledgeable, friendly and looks like they want to be there.”
10AM - 9PM
City Centre, 1130 Blair Rd, Ottawa“Lady on the floor very helpful. And the gent on cash was as friendly as usually. I will be returning....? Blair location gentleman on floor very helpful lots of bonus points for trip to Ireland thru aeroplan. Lady at cash very friendly. I will be back...Tuesday afternoon before rush for Easter closures....”
10AM - 9PM
515 Somerset St W, Ottawa“Spectacular international beer business, although it lacks a lot of very famous variety from Spain or the United Kingdom...
The entire establishment is a giant refrigerator. A beer-only business is interesting.
A resounding success in the area and among locals and tourists.”
“Was only returning empty bottles. Service was so nice I decided to go look at their beers. Came back with new products. Both workers I interacted with were very pleasant.”
“Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Modest selection, but still good for its size/location. Allows you to buy alcohol while shopping for groceries at Massine'd Independent Grocer. Prices are fair.”
10AM - 9PM
499 Terry Fox Dr, Ottawa“A employee by the name of Teresa Ball has been so helpful with anything I asked of her. The other day I came in to get a bottle of wine for my mother and law and I had no clue what to get. She was so kind and helpful and saved my day!!!! Get that woman a raise !”
10AM - 9PM
981 Wellington St. W, Ottawa“Nice big store. Lots of parking but might get filled during weekends due to big Loblaws beside it.Nice selection of Japanese sake. They also carry a few Korean wine.Great artistically painted electric box right at the entrance as landmark.”
10AM - 9PM
50 Rideau St, Ottawa“Lovely shop today at this location! After making my purchase, one of my cans fell and dented on the ground. The staff were very understanding, even though I came in a bit after making the purchase, and allowed me to exchange for a non-dented can. This is a great location! They might never have the perfect stock, but it is optimal for convenience.”
10AM - 9PM
548 Montréal Rd, Ottawa“New upgraded place !! Was just here September 9th 2024 they now sell chips , salsas, and Beef jerky. No doubt probably becuse corner stores are selling there products! Well played well played . Also this place is always busy for beer bottle returns amd hired security is useless on there phones never doing there job .”
“I do love this Trainyards location. It’s so central in the city - it’s easy to get to with three HWY 417 interchanges not too far away. (Innes, St. Laurent & Riverside)Huge parking lot (although whatever developer or city planner decided on making a maze of all the parking lots at Trainyards should be fired and never again allowed to plan parking lots in Canada!)BUT, what I would LOVE to see here, now that Farm Boy has moved to its own flagship location across the way - is for LCBO to take over the existing space. How about we make this the flagship store instead of Rideau? No one enjoys going down there, drivers or otherwise. It’s feels so unsafe and everyone is constantly accosted in the parking lot at Rideau / King Edward. So many robberies and a ton of security - but I never feel like my expensive purchases are protected on the walk to my car at LCBO #38How about we expand this store #41 and make it the best one in Ottawa. A bigger whisky shop? A tasting bar? Expand the vintages section. What about an area for pop-up brand shops/pods like you have at store #511 (King and Spadina) & #217 (Queens Quay and Cooper) in Toronto? I would drive here over downtown Ottawa / Rideau Street any day, and I think a lot of your key demographic for the events held at the Tasting Bars etc would agree. EXPAND THIS STORE!”
