For years I’ve used Kal for most tire related needs, using them 8 out of 10 or so times. Price is good value (near the best price), their website mostly works and service is a consistently good experience. Kal’s after sale service has always been above average. Kal is a good company. However, I feel necessary to share of my experience today. Spencer and technician Sterling showed me why Kal and its Sheffield location is the BEST and from now on my first choice for all my tire needs. A quick story it seems the City of Ottawa’s road crews are now paid by the number of potholes they DON’T fix - only worst are the roads of third-world countries and Quebec (same thing some might argue). When two of my brand new winter rims were savagely damaged by a pothole encounter and couldn’t hold air I suspected the worst. So much so that I purchased two new steel rims and brought my car to Kal for what I thought was a tire swap. I asked them to assess the damage and likely swap the tires onto the provided rims and I hoped the tires would hold air and they too weren’t a loss. In a little under two hours on this Friday afternoon I got a call from Spencer telling me my car was ready. I get to the shop only to find my rims were repaired and everything was fixed and the alignment was checked and fine. Around that time technician Sterling came out. Both of them worked as team to finalize work order (Sterling showed great initiative helping Spencer get some additional vehicle information). On a Friday afternoon where I wouldn’t have blinked an eye had they done a simple change over they did the extra work of fixing/ hammering and sealing both rims - taking time to speak in plain language that both tires were indeed balanced and reassured me. With no incentive for them, they did the best thing for the customer and working harder (for likely less money) to save me 200 bucks in new rims which I could now return. Spencer, Sterling you guys work at a good company but how you guys went above and beyond to save me some money (especially in this economy thank you) you did something for me I will never forget and cemented my loyalty to the Sheffield Kal location. When I think tires I’ll remember the both of you, your professionalism, teamwork and dedication to the customer (even on a Friday afternoon when there was a waaaay easier option) and book at Kal Sheffield tell everyone I know to do the same. Thank you guys!!!!!!

My third year getting my tires changed over and the price and service are top notch. They manage to get my tires done in excellent time even during the busy season. The staff is friendly and professional and always looking to help where they can. Definitely recommend their services.

Reached out to Kal Tire on Nov. 2023 looking for winter tires for my car. The representative was very knowledgeable and professional. I was able to get tires and rims with ease as well as an appt.for install. Had a great experience and their customer service is top tier.I highly recommend them if you're looking for knowledgeable experts to help with your tire needs.Dealt with Raj for a tire pressure issue on the first friggit day of this year and he got me in and out within an hour. Raj is awesome!

I was having some trouble tracking down my winter tires for a changeover. The folks at this location were incredibly helpful and understanding. Service was quick and painless. Highly reccomend!

After calming down I spoke to the manager today and they are solving the problem for me to my satisfaction. I am glad I took the time and not acted like a complete lunatic making a scene, would not have helped at all! Let that be a lesson and you will be treated with respect. Needless to say I will continue to deal with Kal Tire in the future.James H

Everybody at Kal Tire is so courteous and professional. Had an alignment done today, everything was communicated very well. The cost was very respectful as well. They guarantee all of their work as well. I will continue to ba a customer for a very long time if this keeps up.

Great location. Friendly, efficient staff. Reasonable prices. Decent waiting room with free coffee. Washrooms very clean. Raj, who is one of the front desk service advisors, is very polite and great customer service. In fact, the entire front staff offers great customer service and are all very polite. I will keep coming back. One improvement needed though: turn up the heat in the waiting room...brrrrr cold.

Went in to adjust alignment. Because of the season change, thought we'd have them swap our tires too. Booked online and checked in with no problem. They confirmed we were in for tire swap and alignment. Wait about 90 minutes only to find out that due to some issues in their system, they didn't book themselves enough time to do the alignment. Never told me until the end of the appointment, with bill in hand for the tire swap that I never would have booked on its own. Quite frustrating.Nice enough lounge with free coffee though.

This was my first time at KalTire, store at 2825 Sheffield Rd. and I was impressed. Purchasing tires online and booking the installation was hassle free, when I called the store for more info they answer the phone immediately, and were very helpful addressing my questions.They have great selection of quality tires, with some very good deals going on.The store is very neat and inviting, service is outstanding, with very approachable and pleasant employees.Gentleman Raj Bindra and lady Megan Gault, two people I interact directly were so nice, friendly and helpful. Thank you to both of you, as well as to service people who took care of work well done.Overall, an AWESOME experience.Thanks!

I got a nail in my tire the first week of November which is one of the two worst times of the year for it to happen. Every tire shop, garage, and kid with a jack is busy swapping on winter tires with no capacity to do a repair.I called Kal Tires on Sheffield as I knew they have a larger operation and would be more likely to have the capacity to squeeze me in. I called Raj who made it clear I was a standby, but he would try his best to squeeze me in.At drop off the lot was packed with customers waiting to have their winter tires put on. Raj reiterated it may not be until the end of the day, if at all, but he would do his best. Two hours later I received a notification on my phone the tire was deflated which meant it was being worked on!I see Raj’s name comes up a lot in these review. It is great he is there to set a good example for how to serve customers and keep the place organized during a wildly busy time.As for price, I would have paid anything to get my tire fixed as I was leaving for Montreal the next morning. The total came to <$55 for the patch repair (puncture was on the tread) which was very fair and comparable to what Frisby used to charge.I am very appreciative of everyone at Kal Tires on Sheffield.I’m not a huge fan of large corporate chains, and Frisby selling to Kal was a concern. I have come to appreciate the autonomy Kal Tire HQ gives each location to run their individual operations with a focus on serving customers. It is great to see a brand where the quality of service in all areas remains beyond the founding generation. I hope they never go public!
