Great staff, always super helpful
Just wanted to update my posting to say I always to try to attend the free educational sessions Henry's Kanata hosts, and since day one they gave me all the info I needed to buy a camera, the lenses and the equipments I need.
Today I attended the night walk photography session and it was so great, fun and very helpful

Terrible service. I would give 0 stars if I could! Henry's has lost me as a customer and I do not recommend if you are looking to get a repair done. My Nikon's flash wasn't working so I took it in to the store for repair. The clerk told me they didn't do repairs onsite and would have to send it off to the dealer (Nikon presumably) for them to fix it. That was all well and I handed my camera over and we filled out the paperwork. The clerk told me it would probably take about 2 months before I received a repair estimate. Sure - no problem. That was in JULY of 2023 - yep.. 2023!! - 14 months ago!! I was never contacted and never received an estimate. I got a phone call 4 days ago to say my camera was in, fixed and ready to be picked up. I ran down to the store and the clerk gave me back my camera and the invoice. The invoice stated an estimate had been prepared and approved (which I hadn't received) and "repairs completed" dated a few months later but in the notes section at the bottom of the page I saw the words: "returned as is". Also, the amount owed was $0. So didn't look like my camera had been fixed. The clerk couldn't understand the conflicting information and said they would get the manager to call me the next business day. When I got home, my camera's flash was indeed still broken. The manager never called me. I went back to the store today, four days later, with my camera and invoice to see if I could talk to the manager to get an explanation. She was very unsympathetic, borderline rude and just said: "Your camera's too old and Nikon didn't have the parts to fix it". When I asked why it took over a year then for my camera to come back to me the manager said they did try and contact me and insinuated it was my fault that my camera had been sitting on their shelves for a year waiting for me to be bothered to pick it up. The latest call (four days ago) was apparently their 2nd attempt to contact me. When I asked what I should do next she shrugged and said: "There's a specialty store downtown you can try." Really? Unimpressed.

Staff are friendly and engaging. Store is clean, the items are all nicely labeled and easy to see. Used stock all have prices and condition rating. I suppose the hours could be longer but they deserve a rest too. Stock levels are good, and the staff is knowledgeable (though you should always do your own research).
Prices are pretty fair for used and industry standard for the new. They do match prices with other authorized dealers as well.
Been shopping there for almost 20 years now, not by accident.

This morning at Henry's, Blaire (employee) went above and beyond. I was having issues obtaining photos from an old SD card. Blaire graciously used her personal computer, downloaded the photos, allowing me to select the ones needed and assisted with the printing. Her kindness and assistance was truly appreciated.
