Table and chairs purchased in 2023 for my outdoor patio. After storage over the winter I found the table had a stain on one of the boards, which I can't explain unfortunately. After reaching out to find a solution Hauser advised it was not warrantied and not repairable even though I am willing to pay for it. We are talking about replacing one board! I am a good customer and purchased other Hauser items but will not be returning after this.

I have Hauser patio chairs from 25 years ago that are still in perfect condition. Amazing quality and worth the price. More recently, a stand alone patio umbrella was purchased from Hauser and it has been great - easy to operate and very sturdy. Love the store in Ottawa and especially love dealing with Martha there - she is amazing! Highly recommend.

Martha, Cassandra , and the entire team in Ottawa is outstanding!! They are so informative, professional, and always a pleasure to deal with. Our Hauser pieces are stunning, and the quality out lasts any other years later. So happy to have a Hauser location in Ottawa.

My excitement in viewing the Santa Monica slipcover sofa, and purchasing it in March 2023 has led to much disappointment; to the extent, we added a 3” piece of foam on the bottom of the sofa, as well of lots of extra fill to the back cushions. This has unfortunately not solved the problem of comfort in this expensive piece of furniture.

We have had our patio set for one year and 1 chair is broken and 1 on its way to breaking. The store will only do repairs even if chairs were poorly made. Very disappointing as we paid 10 K plus for our set. We deeply regret our purchase.

We have ordered from Hauser twice now, each time we received product that was damaged, scratched, bend or had cracked welds. Hauser does arrange for pick up, and repairs, and then redelivering of new or replacement products, but this causes lengthy delays, and inconveniences, all Hauser does is apologize without any compensation or concern for the delays. I would expect more from a company selling high end commercial products. Having to pay in advance for items, then wait weeks possibly months for items to be resent back to the consumer does not reflect a very balanced customer service relationship. Would not recommend.

--UPDATE--Shortly after sending this review, I was contacted by Hauser. They were very nice and committed to help me with my umbrella problems. They offered tp repair the umbrella. I received the umbrella and everything is working as expected. I am very happy that Hauser stood by their products and committed to helping me out. The people at Hauser I dealt with were very understanding and eager to make things right, thank you!-- END --I spent the extra money ($3K) and got an outdoor umbrella from Hauser thinking that I didn't have to worry anymore,... just install and forget right? WRONG! Here is my story,..1. I stored my umbrella, and mice got to it and ate through the cord that opens the umbrella. No blame here on Hauser, a mouse ate the cord over the winter, my fault! Here I am just trying to figure out how to fix this issue, I understand this will cost me money,.. can I PLEASE have my deck umbrella back?2. I called Hauser, explaining what happened and asking for help and options... an umbrella I bought LESS THAN A YEAR AGO.3. First off,.. it is next to IMPOSSIBLE to get a hold of anyone from Hauser. The Ottawa store that sold me the umbrella won't even TALK to me! They didn't care because I was last year's customer.... they referred me to customer service in Toronto... okay I called Toronto.4. Customer service in Toronto was event LESS helpful.. they basically just told me a replacement cord was $195 (for a NYLON CORD?!?!?!) I fixed this umbrella with a $20 nylon rope from Canadian Tire.5. In the process of fixing this garbage umbrella, I found that HALF the bolts just WON'T COME OUT!!! Their threads are stripped and are basically standing in place unsecured (that is DANGEROUS)!So, I ask Hauser for options on repair services (for a #K umbrella I am SURE they had someone who could repair this thing for a price) WRONG! They tell you to ship the umbrella from OTTAWA to TORONTO to get it fixed. In shipping,.. you might as well BUY a NEW umbrella, which they happily quote you a price. Really guys??? Is there no one in Ottawa willing to fix this garbage umbrella for a price??And here is where I am. You TRUST Hauser and buy a 3K umbrella,.. what do you get? Attitude, unworkable solutions and ridiculous prices.....Folks if this is what a Proud Canadian Company looks like,.. then NO THANK YOU! Save your MONEY and MENTAL SANITY... go to you're favourite hardware store and just buy an outdoor umbrella for a fraction of the price! Dealing with these guys was TRULY AWFUL! They sell garbage for a fortune with the promise of excellent customer service.. but guess what... YOU STOP BEING A CUSTOMER THE SECOND your credit card is approved and you leave the showroom floor.

The cord on a tilt umbrella purchased in 2016 broke in 2020. Re-purchased a replacement May or June 2020, which broke in May 2022, less than 2 years in use, and conveniently after the warranty expired. The same cord issue, which breaks from inside rendering the expensive umbrella useless. Not only the cord quality issue was not addressed, but we were re-sold an umbrella which quality went down and broke in half the time as the first one. I see that other reviewer had the same issue, so it's a known problem that Hauser is not interested in correcting. The quality of this product, and the customer service are subpar, the company does not stand by their products. I would not purchase again from Hauser, nor recommend it to anyone.

Second time I bought furniture at Hauser and not disappointed. The quality is better than big box stores for a bit more money and no assembly required! With care it will last and stay beautiful. Ask for a quote and you'll get a deal. Staff member I dealt with was very nice and delivery excellent.

I am so happy with the service and the product from Hauser from our recent purchase. The staff in Ottawa were friendly, helpful and very responsive. I highly recommend them as I will definitely be a repeat customer.
