So, I like my suit, and those who helped me on the floor eventually made me feel welcome, but:
I went in 6 months before I needed it with some friends of mine, all of us dressed casually, and more than a few of the employees gave us very condescending, if not suspiscious, looks until I explicated my budget; after 4 months of silence, I found out about an early-known material out-of-stock.
I can recommend it, but after 2 years I still feel dejected over that radio-silence and initial disdain... so, bring your dads, I guess?

its a great store i find it just needs more options and services to cater to people on a budget or some kind of organization to help and it would be great if they bring back fuller cuts and summer shoes inside the stores during season the technologies are progressing i think harry rosen will utilize these inside the future also. we need better treatment of the lower classes.

Service greatly varies between visits and rep. Before I get into the details, I just want to say that the younger Asian guy has no professionalism. He has no business working there. When you pay for premium products, you should receive premium service. More about this down below.
I am using a Burner email to write this as I do not want my identity revealed. I’ve been shopping here for a few years. Overall, the service is mediocre from most of the sales reps. Don’t expect any service if you don’t dress up to go shopping here.
When I come in dressed up, the reps are eager to serve me. When I’ve come in casual…nowhere to be found. They avoid you as if you’ve got a disease.
Regarding the Asian guy, he is extremely insensitive and impatient. I had the misfortune of dealing with him during my very first visit. I came in to buy some nice clothes as a reward for myself losing nearly 100 pounds. I told him this and he straight up chuckled with a grin on his face. I tried to ignore it but after trying a few things he started to get irritated. He eventually left me on my own in the store and never spoke to me again. So I gave the business to another rep after I noticed him pretending to be busy when I made eye contact.
I went back several times after, giving them the benefit of the doubt, but honestly I feel like you get better service at a “lesser” store like The Bay sadly. It’s too bad Nordstrom left. The staff here really need to be trained better.

My recent visit today to Harry Rosen Rideau Centre left me disappointed due to the lack of professionalism and courtesy displayed by one of the employees. Don’t have name - white man with gold earrings. Despite my genuine interest in exploring their cologne collection and expanding my own (worth over 2k), the gentleman assisting at the fragrance table seemed impatient and unhelpful.
While I appreciate his initial willingness to show me and another customer various colognes, his demeanor quickly turned sour. Despite my request to test the fragrance on my skin, he became visibly irritated when I tried a spray on my neck to assess its projection and longevity, crucial factors in selecting a perfume. His response, "dude can you not spray it on yourself?" followed by remarks about excessive spraying, left me feeling disrespected and unwelcome.
This encounter not only embarrassed me but also left my friends who were present shocked by his unprofessional behavior. It's disheartening to feel judged based on age or appearance, especially when I'm genuinely interested in making a purchase. While I've had positive experiences with customer service at Harry Rosen in the past, this incident tarnished my perception of the store.
It's imperative that Harry Rosen addresses such behavior among its staff, as it undermines the welcoming atmosphere they aim to provide. No customer should feel unwelcome or judged during their shopping experience. As a loyal customer, I hope this feedback prompts necessary changes to ensure a more respectful and inclusive environment for all patrons.

Although I like the products here, the level of service I experienced on multiple occasions ranged from indifference to outright disdain. Oddly for a store that sells suits, it seems like no salesperson wants to speak to you unless you are already wearing one.On several occasions I have gone in to make a purchase and been completely ignored or curtly dismissed when I asked questions.After placing my most recent order the store went completely radio silent, not only not proactively communicating with me about changing timelines, but also refusing to return multiple phone messages until I physically went back to the store and insisted on speaking to someone - at which point suddenly every salesperson because busy.I have also been unsatisfied with the accuracy of the made to measure suits recently. It seems like either the care in measurement or tailoring has declined since my purchases in previous years. Now they tend to be too tight in some areas and too loose in others, similar to buying something off the rack.
