I booked an appointment, received a confirmation email and a phone call all confirming my appointment time. When I showed up to my appointment I was informed that I would have to come back later (was given around 15 mins later) because my stylist would not be ready in time. I had this appointment booked at that specific time because I needed to be somewhere soon after, making it so I could not accept the pushback of my start time. I politely informed them I would have to cancel said appointment to which she informed me I would need to pay $20…I understand that not everything can be precisely on time but if I the client showed up 20 mins late to my appointment the stylist would have probably cancelled my appointment. I was then informed that I could go to the Byward location for my services but it would cost me an additional $40 because it was a master and not a junior stylist. I understand that appointments cannot always be on time, but it is unfair to charge the client for not being able to make an appointment when it’s the stylists fault.

Third time with Hair Republic and, as usual, excellent customer service and great results! Ying gave me a complex short cut, which turned out exactly how I wanted it. She paid attention to detail and made sure I was okay with every step. 10/10, will definitely come back

Today was my second experience with hair republic. Not only did the staff recognize me, but Tina, the hairstylist I've had both times, remembered which cut I wanted last time. She had no problem doing a dry cut (many other hairstylists insist on washing my hair first, which I don't like because of the extra time it takes), and did all the modifications I requested perfectly. I am very satisfied with my experience and will definitely come back for my next haircut. Also, the prices are very reasonable AND do not change according to the gender of the customer which, surprisingly, is still pretty rare. Five stars, highly recommend.Service: Hairstyling

Usually, I hate writing comments, but this time it is my only way to express my disappointment after 2 weeks with this haircut. I made an online appointment for a complex short haircut, which usually gives as an one hour process. In my case, it only took 30 minutes. They gave me a horrible haircut; it does not have any "complex" style or haircut and quality, as initially requested. Furthermore, my hair type was not put into consideration, so the final result was not as requested. There is no styling and the cut was done without any professional approach. I thought, that perhaps after my hair grows a little, the cut's style would become visible. However, it only got worse, because the cut at the top of the head and the sides did not match at all. In conclusion, by making an appointment with a Master professional, I was hoping to get a much better haircut done with more professionalism.

Tina is the best. She made my hair look so healthy and shiny. I asked for curtain bangs and she did EXACTLY what i wanted. She was also very sweet and made sure i was okay with every step she had to do in order to make my hair this way. I wouldn’t recommend anyone else.Service: Hairstyling

Big love to Zach for knocking it absolutely out of the park on my hair! I have very fine hair with a naturally wavy/curly texture. I asked for a cut that would get rid of the dead ends, bring out my natural texture without being the same symmetrical long-bob all hairdressers tend to default to & lemme tell ya: the colour? Rina temple she is fabulous. this is the first time there for my eyebrows and I'm very picky on my eyebrows to let someone to touch my eyebrows. But she worked on my eyebrows how I expected. I recommend her for my eyebrows. I'm all hers now for my eyebrows.
