253 Elgin St, Ottawa“I recently went to The Gifted Type on Elgin Street, and the new location is so fantastic. They really curated their selection of gifts and crafted items —it's clear that quality and original products are what they try to bring in. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful as I had a few questions. If you’re in search of something unique and crafted, or simply want to browse a charming store on Elgin Street, I highly recommend visiting. It’s an Ottawa gem, and I’ll definitely be back!”
“A really cool boutique with all sorts of local and Canadian made clothes, furniture, books, consumables, blankets, candles, and basically everything. A great place to get a gift for somebody.”
“Very nice shop with lots of gift and souvenirs options. The staff was very friendly. Liked it. Not too expensive. Great place to buy souvenirs for friends and family.”
“I only had to go to one place for a souvenir this time around. Normally I go to about 5-6. This place is filled with amazing clothes and souvenirs. The clothing is almost every average girl and boys closet dream. They have basic t-shirts long sleeve and short. They have hoodies and sweaters. Magnets and jewelry. This place is the perfect spot to find a perfect souvenir and or gift. I highly recommend and will be visiting again! Love you crazy moose❤️.”
“sells a bunch of really unique and super cute products! I wanted to buy it all. LOVE the flowy pants, so many cute options. Definitely stop here if ur in by-ward market!”
“This is my second order at your Merivale location in Ottawa. My neighbor often receives orders from you, from her daughter, who lives out west. She loves it, I have also tasted your treats.
I thought it would be a great, tasty, original Christmas gift for my friends, once again, I placed an order in August and they loved it!!! I was undecided as to what to order, I called the Merivale location and spoke, in length, with Hassan. He was so patient, so informative, so engaged in our conversation, so helpful, lovely to talk with, considerate, and friendly. He helped me with my order, my friends will love it!!! Thanks, Hassan.”

Swatch Rideau Centre, 50 Rideau St, Ottawa“I went to the store on two separate occasions and on both occasions I had a wonderful experience. The person who made my experience wonderful was the clerk was working on both occasions. She was a beautiful dark skin thin young lady… I’m really sorry I forgot your name! I am from Ottawa and when I travel I always buy gifts there to bring to my friends are abroad. The first time I bought smoked salmon in a wooden box with Inuit art on it. The second time I bought two bottles of large maple syrup with some maple butter. The young lady who’s served me was so pleasant and patient with me. She even googled for me if it was allowed to bring smoked salmon on a plane. She made pleasant conversation with me and when I bought the maple syrup she went through the effort of wrapping them carefully so they don’t break when I put them in my luggage. The store is beautiful. They have amazing beautiful souvenirs and artwork. There is another store downstairs not affiliated to them but just not as good. I did compare the prices and although this store is much more high end,the prices are much better. Not to mention they have way better things. More creative and beautiful things. I was looking everywhere in Ottawa for the smoked salmon with the Inuit art on the box. I was very stunned when I found it at the store but pleasantly surprised. To the young lady working at the counter again I am sorry I forgot your name but you are amazing. From now on I know where to go to buy my souvenirs from Ottawa.”
“This is a great bookstore and gift shop, just make sure you confirm the hours before you head down. Candles, books, pendants, crucifixes, statutes - even some rosaries and scapulars. There's also a small kids section.Make sure you do what you can to support this store to support St. Pat's and ensure the bookstore can continue to operate in the future.”

“Amazing customer service and great selection!
Service was above and beyond, the lady chased us almost two blocks as there was a paid purchase left behind. Can’t wait to stop in again for a new item.”
