Love this place! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff! We are aquarium enthusiasts, and this is our go-to for our micro tanks! They cater to smaller livestock and have great assortment! Also, my go-to for frozen food for my snake. Great quality and prices!

They carry Harrisons pellets & other treats for your flocks optimal health and well-being. They even have items for diabetic birds. 99.9% sure they employ my neurodivergent brethren which makes it even better

Critter Jungle has everything you need for your pets. If they don't have it, they can probably order it for you. We love shopping here. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful. They offer all pet food rewards systems and always remind you that you are near your 'next free box' of dog food! One less thing to keep track of.

I like this pet store quite a bit for my birds and fish. Bird toys are on the pricey side, but they are the right type of toys that are safe for my birds (you have to be careful with the bird toys at PetSmart because several are NOT safe... they have cotton parts that bird beaks can pull apart and swallow, for instance). They don't have a huge fish selection, but they properly quarantine their fish, and the fish I have bought from them have been the healthiest. I bought cardinal tetras there and at another store for comparison last summer. They were slightly less expensive at the other store, but I wanted to see which batch would do better. The cardinal tetras I bought from the other store were bigger/more colorful initially, but they all died within a few months. The ones I bought at CJ were smaller and duller (clearly younger), but they grew nice and colorful and are still alive and doing well after 1 year. I recently bought a few extra at CJ, and those too are doing well so far... 0 mortality when I acclimated them to my quarantine tank and then my actual tank. My honey gourami I also bought at CJ last year is also doing great. The fish at CJ are just hardier for whatever reason. Many sources say that cardinal tetras are very delicate and die if you look at them the wrong way. My experience with them is that if you get them from a good place, like CJ, they are not more fragile than other small fish. Just make sure you don't handle them too aggressively and that they can see each other (i.e., you have a school of them) to feel less scared. Anyhow, I really like this store. It's not big, but they have high-quality products, and they care. I strongly recommend.

We visited two other pet stores and were disappointed with our experiences… then we found critter jungle! We’re not local to Ottawa and you all made the 2.5 hour trip worth it. We came in search of a rimless aquarium. Great stock on all brand name equipment and essentials. We ended up getting our full tank set up here (with a discount we were pleasantly surprised to receive). All the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, I’m not new to fish-keeping but I still had questions on recommended filters, lights etc, everyone was more than willing to help. The pet store is very clean and the animals are well looked after.

Phenomenal staff, very knowledgeable, plenty of aquarium shrimp, fish, snails, all sorts of hard to find aquarium species for both ocean and fresh water tanks, very well taken care of, never lost an aquarium animal too soon. Many good healthy dogs, cats, birds, etc.
It's my go to spot since I've discovered them, you can request specific fish ect
