Not your brand new high priced storage place, BUT the staff is friendly and helpful, prices are good. Only slight is that the open hours are limited. I can live with it.

Would give 0 stars if I could. They tried to invoice me for almost $1000 two years after I closed my account and somehow contacted my family (who aren't even in Canada) to send me the invoice. Beyond creepy. So happy I still had the email chain where I asked for the account to be closed out.Do not do business with these creeps.

I was not a storage customer, but there for Uhaul rentals. (April 1st & 2nd)Both gentlemen behind the cash were fantastically efficient and friendly, I had to return for my deposit next day and the same 2 clerks were just as friendly and efficient the next day.Was an absolute pleasure to conduct business here.

Paul and Han are generous and professional in every way. This was the best price for storage in Ottawa and I was extremely happy for the duration of the time that I had my storage units. Thank you again and ill be back in future. John

Terrible experience. Rented a u-haul which when we unlocked it smelled heavily of smoke inside. Notified the employee that was there (who acknowledged that it very obviously smelled of smoke) and recorded this on the form that the damage was pre-existing before we acquired the truck. Neither myself or my wife smoke. We didn’t particularly care about the smell, we just didn’t want to get charged for it. There was also a bunch of sand in the box of the truck for some reason? Again didn’t bother us, but previous client obviously didn’t clean the truck, and no employee checked the vehicle before it was rented again.After moving two couches, we replenished the fuel, swept the inside, locked the truck, and dropped off the keys. We left the truck in pristine condition; way better than we received it. The next day I discover that our card was billed a bonus $50 cleaning fee. Really annoying. Called the shop for an explanation, employee answered and said that the manager would return the call. Waited two days, didn’t happen. Called again, same answer. Waited for a call back, never got one. Had to contest the bill with my credit card company.Highly suggest you rent elsewhere.

Very good value for money, compared to other storage places. The staff are very helpful and polite. The storage lockers are located on the second floor of an old building; you have to use an old-style freight elevator to take your stuff up to the storage area from the loading ramp and to bring it down. The office is at ground level, along with several other businesses that share the ground floor of the building. Look for their sign.

Unprofessional and no customer service. Denied entry into my storage unit and evicted from my storage unit. My Uhual reservation was changed.The employee, Paul, denied entry into my unit said in his reply to the Better Business Bureau, he said I was making a scene. I'm professional, educated and middle aged. He said I seemed agitated that she had to wait and upset when he asked me if I wanted to pay for August. I did not say anything about waiting in line, as a customer, am used to waiting in lines. I only said no, I did not want to pay for August. I did, however, want to find out if they had a smaller unit for the next month, which did not happen, because instead of Paul listening to me, which is a recommended tip for dealing with customers, he told me that I seemed upset when I phoned and asked about my late payment. I spoke only about myself and said that was weeks ago, I wasn't upset. He continued to go on about my past behaviour instead of apologizing for the wait, which is good customer service. He then evicted me from my storage unit. In his reply in BBB, he states I was screaming at him and got more and more upset over nothing. I asked Paul why he was evicting me and he said he didn't like it that I talked about myself. He refunded my money for two days, says there were 7 to 8 witnesses, which there were none. I had someone waiting on me. He said he didn't feel safe for his business, his customers or his staff to allow me access at this time. He told BBB that he was evicting me and he wanted BBB to come and supervise me when I removed my "things". Prior to this, Paul would comment about me, oh you brought the bad weather with you. The other staff member, I don't know his name, an Asian man would comment, do you live around here, you're always walking here. I phoned the Capital Self Storage prior to removing my belongings, to obtain my rate of my storage unit. I was told by Han, you'll have to talk to Paul. So, I asked what did I pay for July? Then he gave me my rate of my storage unit. The day I moved my belongings out, due to ongoing harassment, both of these staff members were professional to me, except on Paul's refund receipt there was 0.00 instead of 20.00. Paul did not ask for my signature on this receipt. When I first moved in, I was also promised a handle on the door to my storage unit, because I was lifting the door with my foot, so the door would be level with the lock to attach my lock properly. There was no handle on the door, the day that I left. Their storage units are dirty, as my boxes were dirty after stored.My Uhaul reservation was changed by Paul from four hours to three hours and Han charged me 10 miles in gas, instead of the actual 2 miles driven.Getting denied access to my storage unit cost me time and money.I would never recommend Capital Self Storage.

No professionalism and threat of frivolous chargesI dropped off the U-Haul at Capital Self Storage this Morning. Per U-Haul Instruction, I was supposed to deliver the key to the office inside a box. However, a Capital Self Storage employee walking in the parking lot, without any proof that he worked there, rudely asked to take the key off of me. I was not going to give a truck key to some random stranger. When I expressed my intention in following U-Haul instructions, I was threatened with unreasonable charges by the employee.I have recorded the incident on smart phone and I will be posting it on YouTube if I see any unreasonable charges from my bill. Be warned.
