I went there to get a winter tire+wheel set for my car. This is my first time purchase, so I was looking for recommendations about sizing. As I have heard the stock size of my car tire doesn't go well as a winter tire.
Well, as soon as I asked the guy on the counter about the tire, he wanted to know about the size. I asked for suggestions assuming he'd recommend something. But he told me to go to dealer and check the compatible tire size. I told him my car model and again asked him if he can tell me what size I should go for, as my assumption was someone selling tire should know these stuff. Again he told me that, his only suggestion is to go and check with the dealer.
It's the people who makes a company great. Unfortunately, it totally seemed to me, that guy wasn't even interested in selling. Well, if that's the only suggestion their salesman can give, may be Canadian Tire should reconsider installing a kiosk there and stop hiring unhelpful and rude people.
I then went to Heron outlet of Canadian Tire. They heard what I want and suggested the tire. Although, I lost 40% of interest buying the tire from them after first interaction, and reconsidering my other options.

Recently had my winter tires put on, my oil change done and rust proof all done at this location the same morning! They were super accommodating when I had called to ask for all 3 services to be completed same day, they said no problem. They threw away my old tires for me, bagged up my summers and even filled my windshield fluid for me. I would highly recommend this location for their auto department. Thanks again guys, made my life a lot easier!

Always issues with customer service. They advertise products they don't have and won't match prices from other Canadian Tire stores. Thought l would give them another chance after another horrendous experience years ago, but NOTHING CHANGES.
Shop somewhere else, this store is such a waste of time.

Find all you need... Heck for sales and clearance aisles. You can also look at other Canadian tires as they may have the same product for a different price. Especially Ontario vs Quebec. Check the prices and have them match it

If you are looking for an Ontario Safety Certificate for your vehicle, I would urge you to avoid this location. Earlier this year, I brought in a used car that I had just purchased so needed an inspection to license. The car was 5 months old and had approximately 9000 km. Much to my surprised, they told me the car failed the inspection and it needed new rotors front and back because they were pitted and it would cost approximately $1700. I looked at them myself and they looked brand new. I asked them and from what they said, it sounded like if the brake rotors have any wear whatsoever, they won't pass a safety check. (I took to another garage that passed them and said they looked new). (The car has 19k km now and the brakes still look new)
Based on this experience, I suspect that anyone who brings any vehicle for a brake inspection will be told that the brake rotors need to be replaced no matter how recent they are (I suspect if you had new brakes installed at another garage and then drove it there and had them inspect them, they would tell you it needed new brakes).

I guess providing customer service is an annoyance to the employees at the auto parts counter. Went in to buy a battery for my boat, had the exact part number that I needed so I assumed it would be a fast and easy purchase. The first employee was seemingly new and struggled to process an invoice - totally fine as everyone has to start somewhere, but could have at least attempted to be friendly in the process. I gave him my phone number for the warranty which was linked to another customer (I've only had this phone number for about a year), and he proceeded to argue with me that this could not be my phone number and I needed to give him a different number (I don't have a different number). Another employee finally came over to sort that out and seemed helpful at first, but then his attitude shifted when I asked to use a gift card I had found at home. I wasn't sure exactly how much was on it and assumed they could just scan it, but instead I received a lecture about how it's my responsibility to know how much is on my gift card. As a customer, I should not be SCOLDED when patronizing a store, and I can't help but wonder if my husband would have been treated the same way by the men at the auto counter. I always go out of my way to be friendly and understanding to those in customer service, and would hope to be treated with the same respect. Clearly that is something this Canadian Tire location does not value, so I will happily take my business elsewhere.

This store carries full inventory than the one on Ogilvie Road. For example, I was able to find Acetone at this store but the other one.
