A hidden store just outside of Ottawa, difficult to find but very complete. Authentic workwear (that is to say with loose cuts, it's not Parisian bobo work wear, we like it or we don't like it), the whole collection of Yeti mugs, an incredible boots section (with the famous Canadian Boulet boots) and, at the back, well hidden, a shirt and cowboy hat section. Worth the detour, if only for the look. We left equipped!

My favourite store to visit since I was a child and started taking horseback riding lessons. I soon discovered Apple Saddlery was the place I could see and learn the names and purpose of basically every piece of tack ever (great study aid for Pony Club tests), and if that wasn’t enough Apple Saddlery just smells the best. Beyond the horse thing, the store has a really great selection of high quality brands of footwear and clothing. This is where you come if you’re looking for Blundstones and Birkenstocks.

Very nice store with a wide selection of anything related to country wear/horse tack and such. Only downside is we went there to get a cowboy hat ( they have great selection by the way) but they don’t shape them… ask 2 different clerk and was told they don’t shape hats there….
