“I go there oftenly to shop for Halal meat, meat quality is as good as it gets. They have all kind of spices, frozen paratha & few vegetables as needed. It’s not a big shop but you will find all sorts of basic Pakistani items. My brother also needed to pray so we asked them, they were kind enough to provide us with prayer matt and let him pray there. Recommend”

“What a wonderful visit we had to the new location of the Urban Market! Friendly service, mouth watering locally sourced food products and nicely done handmade gift items. I also discovered they have my favourite shampoo and will refill my bottles for me, so green! Can’t say enough about this great store!!!!!”

“I like this place, prices are reasonable, produce are always fresh and they have a fair choice when it comes to meat. The staff is helpful and do not mind going out back to check availability if something is short.”

“I recently moved to the area from quite far and live about two streets down from this variety store. Due to my work hours, I’m not able to get to the grocery store often, however, the prices at this store are so affordable that I have made it my new breakfast essentials spot. I often walk in the evening to grab some candy or snacks, and I’ll grab eggs, coffee, cream, and butter here too. It really helps and both owners are incredibly personal and kind. Bonus- I’m a huge plant person and so are the owners of this store! Many very healthy, unique tropicals. I’ve bought a few plants from here now and they’re growing so large and healthy- also very very fairly priced!I’m so thankful for this variety store in my community.”

“The best meat I found in Oshawa.
I'm from another city, but visit Oshawa and buy halal meats from time to time. Got beef, mature chicken, and chicken kabab. The spices in the chicken kabab felt very good according to my taste. Beef tip: knowing your cut and choosing from them will give you peace of mind.
The staff are very friendly, calm, and cooperative. I'll definitely go there again.”

“I really miss the indoor tea room. I did purchase lunch there, but the only eating area is outside.Lovely store packed with everything from baked goods and frozen food to clothes and pet supplies. Nice little country drive minutes from Oshawa and the staff is lovely.”

“These reviews are quite racist. If you're coming to Canada be respectful and recognize our manners and customs, and you won't have any issues. The employees at this store have always been lovely and it's not because I'm Canadian, it's because I'm polite and courteous and not selfish.”

“Very good place to shop... have some items you can't find in other stores (I looked... like peanuts in shells, bagged), prices are reasonable and lineups are quick and some international foods too”

“Overall, it's an okay store. Fruit and veg are hit or miss . 50% rotting , 50% fresh. Depends if you are there at the right time. Last time I was there, 4 or 5 types of bread were expired on the shelf (2 days after being closed for a holiday), so just check your dates. Cashiers are not too friendly but also not rude. Most of the time, sale items are available.”

“Went to get a cake (Sunday Oct 13 between 3 and 4). The lady at the counter was incredibly upbeat and friendly. There were 2 other people ahead of me and she was engaging with everyone. She was warm and thanked the customers as they left with their cakes. She is a definite asset to your store.
Our checkout experience with Colin was also pleasant. He was professional when he offered the stamp option and reminded me about my optimum points. Thank you, Colin!”

“Dylan's No Frills on Simcoe St N in Oshawa is a reliable budget staple for north-end folks—killer prices on flyers, fresh produce that's actually crisp (not wilted like some spots), and a solid bakery for cheap loaves. The store's clean and organized, with friendly cashiers who zip through lines, and easy free parking in the plaza. TTC's a quick hop too. Downsides: occasional stockouts on popular items, and those unprofessional managers won't budge on pricing glitches—super frustrating if you're short on time. Great for weekly shops, but check dates and avoid peak evenings”

“Very convenient and spacious grocery store near my house.staff are very nice and polite.specially at checkout a cashier name Nicole she is very nice and well mannered.i forgot my stamp card at cashier and next day when I go there and ask for it she return it to me.thanks a lot.”

“Very clean and good selection of produce. Staff have always been helpful. Only one complaint about this location. You take groceries to the car then have to walk all the way back to the store to return. An in-between area for cart return would be great. If you're young it's fine but when older and no handicap spots are available, well it can be tiring. Come winter it will definitely deter me shopping at this location. But apart from that very nice store.”

“great but could be better instead of shutting down on side of the store for pc express then have both sides open in case customers just need to purchase baby products and pharmaceuticals”
