A great place to visit and I always find what I need. Well kept and organized and laid out to make it easy to find items you're looking for. A great place for a family outing, something for everyone in the family!! : )

Don't waste your time at this store. Head over to north Whitby CTC store. They actually stock sale items.
Again went in for a sale item in this week's flyer. No stock on the shelf, not even a space for it. Staff said it was in the warehouse but couldn't find it.
Terrible service. Never have any of the advertised specials. If you ask, it always seems to be in the warehouse and not out on the floor for people to buy.
It's fun to play with the staff here. Just look in their direction and they can't run away or hide fast enough.
Oct22,24 again Castrol oil on sale. Nothing on the rack. Can see lots in the back. No employees to help. Had to go elsewhere.

Worst customer service. I bought a wrong item and lost my receipt, I requested for exchange or store credit but they refused which never happening in any other big chain store in Canada. It was one of my favorite store to shop, but not any more. I rather pay more to shop in any other store, but will never go to Canadian tires. Goodbye

Purchased youth figure skates here in the early evening of Thursday October 17th. The young employee who sharpened them in your machine didn’t seem to know what he was doing. The skates were in the sharpener for quite a while and then he had to get someone else to help because he said they were
stuck. Today (Saturday Oct 19th) my daughter went to Delpark to ice skate and her new skates were sharpened horribly! Had to take them to the onsite sharpener and pay for another sharpening. The guy there said they were not sharpened properly [by your employees] and that spots were missed. I’d expect better from a store that has sold skating gear for decades. Whoever the two male employees were that sharpened the skates Thursday evening need better training.

Total Ripoff – Avoid Their Auto Repair Services
I brought my car to Canadian Tire at 8:30 AM for a simple oil change, brake repair, and tire change—jobs that should realistically take about 3 hours. Throughout the day, I had to call them twice for updates. The first time, they told me “a couple of hours,” but the tone was rude and dismissive. When I asked for a more specific estimate, the response was, “I just said a couple of hours, OK?”—this was at 3 PM, and I had dropped my car off at 8:30 AM.
By 6 PM, I called again, only to be told to call back in 15 minutes. At this point, my patience had run out, and when I demanded to know how much longer it would take, they put me on hold for five minutes before finally saying my car was ready.
When I arrived to pick it up, I discovered they hadn’t done the oil change or applied the underbody rust coating I requested. Yet, they still managed to take 10 hours just to change the tires and do brakes repair—and handed me a bill for $500+
Trust the reviews—this place is disorganized, their customer service is rude, and their service is a total ripoff.

Finding someone in the store to help at times isn't easy but customer service and cashiers are always friendly and helpful.

I've had decent experiences with Canadian tire in the past but recently had a really bad experience, and not sure if I'd want to go back there in the future. I don't usually give out bad reviews, but this I need to make.
My vehicle was having issues with the brakes so my partner called in last Thursday to make an appointment for earliest time they had. They gave us a day the following week in the morning. My partner took off time that morning from work to ensure we could get the car in that morning as we only have one vehicle. A representative from Canadian tire called my partner the day before the appointment and told him the time was moved to 4pm as their mechanic called in sick. No worries, we understand that people have lives and people get sick.
So my partner went in around 4pm to the appointment. When he arrived, he gave the person my phone number, and then his phone number and they told them that they don't have any appointment that day. Keep in mind, my partner called everyday since Thursday to see if we can get an earlier time but still confirmed the original appt date.
After they "found" the account, they brought the vehicle in. They told us that they're going to charge a brake inspection for $65. When they pulled the car in, it took TWO hours to just take off the tires to look at the car. They told my partner that the caliper, rotors and brakes need to be changed, and quoted almost $900 total for parts and labor.
So my partner left the car there and walked to the nearest restaurant to eat. He was called and told that we would have to leave the car overnight due to parts not available. He told them that's why we wanted the morning appointment so all parts can be bought that same day but they told him that they can do the car the next day in the morning.
So he walked back 20 minutes later to speak to the manager and found out they actually did receive the parts and sounds like they lied to him so they can keep the car overnight. After 2 hours, they finally started working in the car and then the technician came and said there was a problem with the brake line and they have to keep the car overnight.
After all of this, I told my partner to just ask then to put everything back on and just buy the parts and I'll get it done at my mechanic. The parts came up to roughly $370; $500 for just labour is crazy.
I brought it my mechanic in Etobicoke (I was hoping to get it done at Canadian tire as its closer lol) and he charged me extremely less than what they did, and I was out of there within a couple hours with no headaches.
The organization and professionalism needs to be looked at here. As someone who works in customer service, this was a poorly handled experience.

I went there for years. The quality is garbage now. I will never go back. Cheap parts and poor workmanship.

I went to this Canadian Tire today ( around 4:30) to purchase a re chargeable vacuum for the car & a garbage can designed for your car, plus all the cleaning accessories for a car as a gift. Found the vacuum, however couldn’t find anyone on the floor to help with the garbage can. So I approached the cashiers, big mistake! All I wanted was someone to help me on the floor….instead they bantered between themselves, completely baffled that such an item existed. I asked 3x’s to get someone on the floor to help me. They looked at me like I was crazy! I’ve never dealt with 3 useless people before, as I did today. I left there with nothing! And home depot made $300.00 from me today, I got everything I was looking for, with the help I needed. Seems to me, you have too many cashiers and not enough people on the floor.
