A very reliable store for a lot of needs ragung from house stuff to car stuffs, the only thing i found odd was when i bought a battery for my car from the website, i added my car details on the web, and gave me the results, the results says “fits” my vehicle, and i got it but when i took it to my mechanic, they said the battery does not fit at all. i went back to get a refund but they said i could not get a refund, i get its a policy thing, but it also is not my fault that it told me it fits my vehicle, welp the only way to really fix the issue was to exchange, but i had to pay more for the actual battery that fits (props to the guy with long hair that went out his way to measure what would fit). i just didnt like how the manager couldnt consider what i said and she just ignores it and answers rudely.

The store in 441 Gibb St, Oshawa is a total failure when it comes to to customer service and good conduct with diverse race and cultural people. It’s full of racist managers.
This instance with me on Oct 24, 2024, I brought my car in for a regular oil change, also bought other stuffs. While checking out I asked the manager / supervisor Michael to double check and explain me the charges. He did and I came out of the store fine nothing bad. Friday morning I received a voice mail that they forgot to charge me for my oil change (the main reason I visited CT for), so later I called back to know more and pay if there’s anything not paid. The automotive manager DON who answered my call was Rude, upon asking him that I asked Mike to double check everything before charging me , and he should’ve noticed if he didn’t charge me for the oil change and I remember he mentioned oil change in the check he did. But the manager DON responded that made Mike to forget scanning the invoice. Which didn’t make any sense since it should’ve reminded him on the contrary. He said “the mistake by the store doesn’t make you not responsible to pay” which I believe was disrespectful and humiliating since I called back and I have all the willingness to pay for the service I’ve taken. I am a long term regular customer of CT and he trying to imply I’m trying to take free stuff without paying is total nonsense. I Have to spend time and effort to go again to make the payments, this is unacceptable.
I came to the store and informed the store manager Jordan who apologized with a straight face with 0 empathy and said he can’t speak for another person, then why the hell is he is manager for??? . I’ve no idea how these people are the leaders of a store which should have higher standards for themselves.
ALSO THEY FORGOT TO SCREW THE SPLASH GUARD UNDER THE HOOD WHICH FLEW WAY LATER AND THEY DECLINED TO FIX IT FOR ME, This place is a bummer never coming back, bunch of incompetent people working here.
Finally instead of apologizing or offering something for the inconvenience they’ve cost to burn my gas again and come to the store, they in fact made me feel that I left without paying. Cheap mentality.
The store in Pickering south Whitby are way more professional. This store previously had an issue with a product they claimed is discontinued but very much active said by the Pickering store.

Long story short. Bought a product in Pickering Canadian tire; Took it to Oshawa to try and process a request and was told the product was discontinued and they could not process anything because of that reason and that I have to go back to Pickering. Went to Pickering and was told flat out Oshawa store lied and the product was active. Pickering processed my request and I left the Pickering store in 5 minutes. Thank you Pickering for your professionalism.

What can I say? just another Canadian Tire. The place is nice and clean and well organized. Staff are friendly and plenty of parking here. I found what I was looking for.

Staff walk in front of you, cut you off in aisles and prices are conveniently not what you think they are at the cash register, use the self serve the dolts at the cash registers are basically brain dead anyway

Lots of deals and wonderful staff, willing to help to locate wares. The aisles can be a bit tricky to navigate.

I recently bought 4 tires for my truck and booked an appointment to have them installed.
I am very disappointed in the corporate bureaucracy that Canadian Tire has fallen victim to.
When I questioned the staff about the cost of tire exchange, I was told that 'we charge a tiered price for tire size, so it's more expensive for 20" tires. What I bought was tires for 16" rims. "Oh, we'll adjust the price then.".
After two hours in the shop's possession, I am told that 'Corporate will not allow the tire change' because I am running spacers on the truck. Apparently, they are illegal in Ontario. I do not see this policy on the Canadian Tire site where I bought the tires.
It's unfortunate I can't trust the service department without having to advocate for myself.
The suggestion that they 'take off the spacers, do the tire change', then (I) can put the spacers back on later' is asinine. Time is money, and Canadian Tire will no longer be getting either from me.

Great place for auto parts and service
