very wide selection of paints. Very good service. I had a very unusual requirement and the tech advice was there... fell a little short however it was an issue few could solve. I believe I now have the answer and they helped.

I honestly cannot say enough about Bill and Dawn from Preston Paints in Orleans.They are SO knowledgable in paint and really took their time to explain the color matching and coding (in plain language).They color matched “Olympus White” perfectly and I can move forward with my project!You can assure they have earned my business for the rest of my days! Just OKWas in to get computer matching off a old colour chart for several gals of paint on Thursday morning 2 weeks ago. Walk in and 1 person is working away in the back mixing paint while the other guy is chatting with the customer waiting for his paint. We politely wait to be served; no interaction; no acknowledgement; it’s now 2 minutes in and we have not been greeted yet. The Rep makes no effort to say hello or acknowledge us and is chatting await - possibly with a regular customer, as if we were not even there. Another minute goes by - he’s still chatting away with this Customer as if there was no one in the store. Finally he asked if he can help us - we present our colour chart to match and he asks the guy mixing paint in the back how long it might take… awkward to say the least. Very 1 st time in the store, just moved to Orleans and not impressed. We were advised our 6 gallons of paint ( not a small order in my books) would be ready around noon. It was about 8:15 am. When I called back at noon to see if paint was ready they said it would be another 30 minutes. When I came in to pick up the paint early that afternoon; another rep looked on the floor for our paint and said it’s over here - no effort to ask if all looked good or not. Indifferent attitude in my opinion. Paid >$500 for my paint and I could have been spending $20 on a roller I do not feel the love at all. Am I missing something; where is the customer service? Pathetic service. The manager, Bill, withheld information about a change in the formulation of a paint and later lied through his teeth to cover up the omission. We painted the house using the Aura matt finish. A month or so later we had to do some touch-ups and bought the same Aura matt finish, however, when the paint dried, it was clear that the sheen was not matt. It was quite shiny, more like semi-gloss, see attached picture. I went to the store and the manager said he has no idea why it's like that, we can get you a replacement can of identical paint, but we are out of stock at the moment and that it's on order from the manufacturer (referring to the new formulation). I asked him to call around to other stores, which he reluctantly did, and sent me to Decorator's Choice, which he said had some paint in stock. I got there, and was told that Benjamin had recently changed the formulation and it's probably why there is difference in the sheen. I started to investigate further and it turns out that to be the case. The manager at Decorator's Choice also said that the manager explicitly asked him for the old formulation of the paint on the phone, all while keeping that information hidden from me. There is absolutely no reason to do so. If don't want to be lied to or have information withheld then go elsewhere. One star is for issuing a refund for the can of paint, but otherwise it's zero stars for the service.
