NO LOYALTY to customers at Rens!!! Spent $60.00 on raw dog food, a new brand my dog has never had and unfortunately he hated the food. I am a loyal customer to Rens as I am there at least once a month. Last time I was entitled to a free box of raw food because I have purchased an abundance of raw food there. Drove to Rens hoping to return the $60 raw dog food my dog dislikes only to be told Rens needs the original box it came in. I live in a condominium and don't have space for empty boxes. Rens informed me quickly they would not take back the $60 dog food. I came home called "Big country raw" dog food and they said they would have totally reimbursed Rens with or without a box. What am I missing here? Rens obviously does NOT value customer loyalty. I will NEVER shop at Rens again but will return to "Back to the Bone" in Oakville where this family run business VALUES their customers. As a retired principal I rate Rens an F meaning FAIL!!!!!!!

Ren's Pets is a great place to shop and an inspiration to see a Canadian company started in 1975 grow. It's great that Toff from KX94.7 shows up and supports this business too. Fun day today. Beau has yet to destroy his squeaky. ? The team there was very kind and inviting and helpful.

I have been a long time loyal customer of Ren's Pets. I recently placed my first ever "Pick Up In Store" order. I usually have items delivered or I purchase in person. No where on the purchase page did it clearly state that there was a time limit of 5 days for pick up or the ENTIRE ORDER WOULD BE CANCELLED. I ordered a large amount of a product when it went 50% off. My dog eats it every day and it's a significant expense so I jumped on this sale. When I received the email that my order was ready for pick up I didn't read the body of the email, where the 5 day rule was stated for the first time. I only read the subject line and not the body because I just assumed the order was paid for and waiting for pick up, as has been my experience for other "pick up" orders at other stores. I was delayed to pick it up and a day before the recent holiday Monday I received another email that my order had been CANCELLED. I lost $85 worth of savings, which in this economic climate, is significant. I contacted Ren's to explain my assumption and mistake and they were COMPLETELY inflexible and did not offer ANY kind of solution or offer to keep me happy as a loyal, long time customer. Cold responses only, no signature line with contact information or who this person even was in the company. I am extremely disappointed with how this was handled and I have now cancelled my account altogether. This is how they treat "Loyalty" in their "Loyalty" program.
