I can’t say enough good things about Jess, the Salon Leader at PetSmart in Oakville. She’s an incredibly skilled groomer, and I could immediately tell she genuinely cares about the pets she works with. She treated my dog, Buddy, with such patience, care, and love—it was clear how much she enjoys her work.
What really sets Jess apart, though, is her leadership. She leads by example, guiding her team with kindness and professionalism, and creating a positive, respectful environment for both her staff and the pets. Buddy and I are beyond impressed with the level of care Jess provides, and I highly recommend her for anyone looking for a compassionate, skilled groomer. Thank you, Jess, for making Buddy’s grooming experience so wonderful!

The best of the best! The staff here are so professional and friendly. My dog is always taken care of when she comes here and gets the best hair cuts. Colleen certainly knows what she is doing, a very talented groomer!

Horrendous, the groomers are unreliable and something is terribly wrong with their scheduling.
The appointment scheduled for my dog was cancelled twice within 3 days. I received a call at 7:45 am the morning of the appointment to notify me that my appointment was canceled.
I moved my entire week around twice to suit their availability, when I asked for the manager’s name they provided me with the groomer’s name that called in sick.

Pet Smart does not allow me to book grooming for my 12yo dog because of her heart condition.

BEWARE WORST GROOMERS! Colleen is apparently the best and my dog came out completely naked. People can’t even tell what breed my dog is anymore. Dont take the risk go elsewhere. Also, the salon manager is a mouthy arrogant individual. Never returning to this pet store. UNEDUCATED RUDE PEOPLE!

Review for grooming service. Tried them twice hoping the first bad experience was just one incident however we just wasted our money for nothing. First time we paired for full grooming it was a horrible haircut and some areas were not touched, nails were not cut, etc. I had to ask her to take him back and cut his nails and she told me they were busy and maybe come back another day. I refused so unhappy she took him back and cut his nails. and she did a horrible job overall.
My daughter decided we should give them another chance last weekend with just a bath and blow drying. Our puppy is a poodle and his hair tangles if it stays wet so he needs to be dried well. After picking him up after almost 3 hours after his appointment he was still wet and wasn’t brushed well and his hair all tangled within couple of hours. If we wanted that we were more than cable to bath him at home. We took him there to make sure he is all dried out and well brushed. Waste of money.

I had a bad experience with a product and a staff, Michelle. Everyone else has been great. My son went to school with one of the staff and we consider the staff friends. But, Michelle is very rude, unhelpful, and uncaring. I only meet her today for the first time. I have been a customer for many years and have spent thousands of dollars at this store and now I won’t be back to this store thanks to Michelle.
A few days ago, I bought a light for one of my terrariums. The light seems a substandard product because it burned after a few days. I took it back to the store and it was promptly replaced, but it burned again after a few days. I am an experienced keeper of reptiles and I know now that there is something wrong with the model and brand.
This time, Michelle treated me very poorly. She said that she doesn’t take lights back even after a few days. She didn’t offer an alternative and just asked me to leave the store. I told her that the brand and model of light seems to have a problem, but she didn’t seem to care. She just asked me to leave. I had other products in my hand to buy and she didn’t seem interested in helping me pay. I said that I was a good customer and I had other things to buy. She insisted that it was a private establishment and that she was calling security to escort me out.
I left very saddened. I have no replacement light, even a different model or brand. I feel assaulted and discriminated. I am a weakened cancer patient and coming to the store is a lot of effort to me.
I won’t be back to your store ever, Michelle.

Extremely disappointed with their service and attitude. The examples for this:1) if PetSmart cancels an appt, you have to get back to the end of the line. I understand issues happen but telling a customer to get back in line for an appt booked weeks in advance because you don’t have extra grommers shouldn’t be a customers fault, happened 2-3 times already. The response from PetSmart sorry, deal with it.2) we buy a package that gives you 1 service free if you pre-pay for it. They forgot to add the top dog plus package and when I went back to them to take money for 7 pre paid visits they were like sorry, now you have to wait for the base package to be over to get this.3) Bought a gift card online, store system has issues, solution sorry, pay more money, can’t do anything elseSaying sorry for poor customer experience, multiple times on the same visit is extremely disappointing. Get your act together !!

)There was a senior discount a few years ago not sure what happened to that.2) Recently, I tried the iodate my credit card and address on the per smart app. It used to allow your apartment number to have your dog food shipped to your door. since that they shipping method they use..3)Now is fed ex and don’t shop Yonge door the App deletes the apt number and puts apartment building..4)I entered the email address that I wanted confirmation to and no confirmation came. The login id is an email address that is not supposed to be the confirmation email. Customer service claims it was the case and the login email didn’t receive confirmation either…I did try another M/C the order does the same thing and removed the number puts apt building. Customer serve said it would not happen again.5)Customer service assured me that when they deleted and imputed the address with alt number it would work with my address and credit card claiming the token placed on my credit card shops apt building. Well the credit card makes no difference it’s the app putting apt building and removing your apt number…. 6)So there is no option to buy insurance with fed ex. Your order doesn’t say who is shipping it or if insurance is an option. I made every effort to insure it was delivered to my door.7) A 47 lb bag of dog food in a partial open box that looked like it poorly taped on when end and depends of a truck, with the small delivery slip only showing my name no air number was left in the mail room.8)it was sitting in the mail room for an hour before I found it. I was constantly checking my door for delivery for two days. Of course it says pet smart charity’s and the nice has two sides that are showing PetSmart to read it either side . It is advertising to that says here is pet food. Nobody knows who it is got. Sure enough it was stolen. If Pet smart is doing a deal with fed ex to give free silvery desert is only delivering the building mail room….9)Therefore since per smart would not comply with my request to delivery my door they are responsible for the reimbursement of the 47 lb Purina pro plan dog kibble purchase. You make a deal with FedEx and don’t allow insurance for shipping on a blanket order to the apt building.10)In my book that makes you liable and reckless don’t care about your customers receiving the product…11)Never should food be delivered th a mail room!!!!

Our recent experience with our dog's grooming left much to be desired.Upon picking her up, we found her wet, some nails untrimmed, and her paw injured. When inquiring about these issues, we were informed that she was deemed difficult (though not aggressive) and therefore, they were unable to complete the grooming satisfactorily. To our surprise, they also claimed to have missed her injured paw during inspection.Our dog is typically calm and well-behaved, and it's so sad to think that her comfort wasn't prioritized during the grooming process. After all, ensuring the well-being and comfort of the animals in their care should be a priority.Adding to the disappointment, we were charged extra for the "plus nail package" despite the incomplete service and our dog's evident distress.We paid the fee, because we just wanted to leave and left feeling upset by the entire experience.Seeing our usually content pup so stressed and despondent was truly upsetting.
