I had a very upsetting experience at this store today. I was shopping with my children, one of whom was sick, and noticed the cashier scanned one of my items twice. I brought it to her attention, but she dismissed my concern, saying she knew what she was doing. After paying, I reviewed my receipt in the car and saw that I was charged for more items than I had purchased.
I went back to the cashier, but instead of addressing the issue, she and another cashier whispered among themselves and told me to get back in line. They didn't bother to check the receipt or my items. They claimed the store owed me $5 and suggested I pick something else worth that amount. It felt like they were teaming up against me, dismissing my concerns, and treating me with disrespect. I felt discriminated against because of my religion and my imperfect English.
I asked for a manager and was told she wasn't in. I threatened to call the police because I was being charged for something I didn't buy, which finally prompted a supervisor to step in. Unfortunately, the supervisor also sided with the cashiers. After insisting on speaking to the manager, I had to wait 40 minutes. When the manager arrived, she was professional and apologized after verifying the mistake. She refunded the extra charge, but the damage was already done.
This experience was not about the money but about the principle and the humiliating way I was treated. I left the store in tears, deeply hurt by how I was treated in front of my children. If you decide to shop here, please check your receipt carefully and be prepared for potentially poor customer service.

I want to share the terrible experience my sister had at this store on August 25th. She went shopping with her kids, and when she noticed the cashier had scanned one of her items twice, she politely pointed it out. Instead of checking or correcting the mistake, the cashier rudely dismissed her concerns.
After she paid, she checked the receipt and found she had been charged for an extra item. When she went back to clarify, the cashiers were whispering among themselves and were very unprofessional. They told her to get back in line without even looking at the receipt or the items she had bought. It felt like they were ganging up on her, dismissing her, and making her feel humiliated, especially because she doesn’t speak English fluently.
She asked for the manager and was told she wasn’t available. When she insisted and mentioned calling the police, a supervisor came over but also didn't provide any real help. After a long wait, the manager finally arrived, checked everything carefully, and confirmed there was a mistake. She apologized and refunded the extra charge, but by then, the damage was done.
My sister was treated so poorly that she was in tears driving home. It's not about the money; it's about the way she was humiliated in front of her children and treated with such disrespect. If you shop here, be very careful to check your receipt and be prepared for possible poor service.

Urban kids is such a cute and affordable store for your kids. And very stylish. I can always find something there. The even have infant wear now, and I love that they have expanded their target group.

We went in looking for a very specific hoodie they had. We found lots of size choices, so that was quick. They had lots of other styles that my kids liked, so we’re gonna be back for more!

The store manager in upper canada mall is the worst in customer service. she's the one with short redish hair was in shift Saturday Feb 05 at 5:40. I made an order on line and 4 items the size was so strange so I went to the store to return them, the cashier took more than 15 minutes to find the items number on the receipt but I didn't mind at all I thought it's a weekend & end of the day she probably tired. And after she's done and asked for my visa a lady came beside her it turns she's the messenger and told her those clearance items which is final sale. I tried to explain to her this is my first order with urban kids and it's not written it's final sale, she insisted it's written big with red so I opened my phone git the item online and I showed her it's not so she said when you processed to purchase so I did processed and I added credit card and was at last step to click pay now and there wasn't any notification of final sale, in fact under the item it shows easly return to store. She was cutting me off, she said call customer service . Any way she kept cutting me off so I asked her for her name she refused I told her when I call customer service I will complain you're so rude she said I'm rude because I didn't do what you want I said no of course but you said about the final sale big in red and it's not she cut me off again I told her you're not even listening to what I wanna say. She said the exact words tell them I'm the rudest one I don't care, I told her sure I will and I'll right reviews every where , I will never purchase from this brand and especially from this location.

Honestly my daughter is 10 and loves this store. She's been shopping here for the last couple of years. Prices are great when everything's on sale because who doesn't love to get a deal! My only complaint would be to have more of a selection on the size XS and Small as this size seems to be gone most of the time.
