We visited shop today to purchase a pair of shoes, and my experience was far from satisfactory. Initially, I found a pair that had a scratch mark on it. A co-worker assured us that we would receive a 10% discount due to the damage. However, when we reached the cashier, they refused to honor the discount. This was very disappointing and not what we were promised.
To make matters worse, a lady named Pretty, who was supposed to assist us, displayed a terrible attitude. She didn't offer to get another pair for us until I specifically asked her to do so. Her demeanor was rude and unhelpful. When she did bring another pair, it had a hole in it. I asked her to bring back the scratched pair instead. Throughout this entire interaction, she did not apologize, avoided eye contact, and had an unfriendly expression.
As someone who works in retail, I understand the importance of customer service. I have never written a negative review before, but the way we were treated while trying to buy shoes worth over $280 was extremely unprofessional and disappointing. Pretty needs a lot of training to learn how to interact with customers effectively. This experience has seriously made me reconsider shopping at SoftMoc again.

I asked a lady who was just standing there (almost couldn't tell if she was working there or not) for a shoe size for my child & she had an attitude as if we were bothering her... she was standing there with her arms behind her back doing nothing. Anyways we just left store.

I went into softmoc after realizing that sketchers closed. I had no idea who worked there and only realized when I saw someone in the cash. I asked for help and I was explaining the other pair I wanted she walked away only bringing 1 pair, did not bother to hear me or nothing. I was looking into buying 3 bobs and regular runners. I have them so I did not need to even try them on. But felt like I had to chase them for help and their service was more then terrible. No smile, no going the extra way to make sure I made a purchase. I just went on the website and did it myself. I was there Friday May 17 at around 1pm. Not worth my time or money!

The lady who helped us at store today had the worst attitude. Not even greeting or sharing any information about the product. No eye contact, even though we purchased something no one even said goodbye or saying have a great day. Even the other lady was helping some guy had the same attitude. Someone has to train the staff there properly.

March 10, 2024 Softmoc Yorkdale - Just had the most ridiculous customer service experience. It wasn't clear on the Softmoc website that a white sneaker was a "wide" fit, so I went to the Yorkdale location to make an exchange for a regular size 8 shoe. Only to be told by the sales rep that because it was a "different product number" it is not a straight exchange. I'm sorry, what? It's the same shoe, same colour, I just needed the right size. How ridiculous! She refused to help, would only process a return and not simply exchange the shoe for the same price I purchased them online. Suffice it to say, I will never go back to this location.
