Why do you pay for 2 day shipping and it takes two weeks to come. The courier they use is completely useless. I cancelled the order and it was to be ship back to them and I was to get a refund. Now after two weeks it arrives at my door. Now I have to ship it back to them and probably wait another to weeks to get a refund. This is a horrible way to do business. Why can Amazon delivery in 24 hours from the same area. By the way Amazon product is much superior and half the price. Plastic world after 12 years you lost a customer. To anyone out there thinking of using Plastic World. Don’t do it. They are horrible to deal with. And save yourself a lot of frustration.
Just to clarify to the answer I got from the owner below
1.This was not the first and only time this has happened 50 % of the time it 2 days
2. Why was I told that it would be ship back to plastic world and I would receive a refund
3. Then when I asked why this wasn’t done I was told about how to send it back and all that hassle.
4. Why did I keep buying from you it was just easy to continue. But when you get to a point where enough is enough. I’m done and I stand behind what I say.

Poor customer service in following up for the online order, you'll have to call them to follow it up or else you'll be waiting for nothing.
When I did followed up by calling them, the person sounds rude by not apologizing to the delay they promised it will arrived, and not even giving me another promise of when it will be sent immediately.
The day after, finally for a long wait and delay it arrived, but the on sale quarter inch thick 24" by 24" have no protective plastic covering on the other side, and the 2'x2'x12mm Polycarbonate (Lexan, Makrolon) seems to be a regular clear acrylic plastic, because it doesn't have the regular white plastic covering on both sides, but only clear ones. And when I fastened it, it CRACKED!

I used Plastic World for years for many of my projects. Great selection and prices, especially if you need smaller pieces and not a full sheet. Easy online ordering and quick pickup ready notification. Quick custom cuts are also helpful.

Prices on website are pretty good. Shipping costs on the other are quite high which cancels out the item prices a bit. Customer service by email can be slow. I was left hanging for weeks without an answer about a missing item in my order. They seem to take care of it in the end, but beware if you need your items quick for a project.
Edit: The "seem to take care" part in fact never happened. Still waiting for my parts more than 2 months later.

Ordered a couple pieces of plastic for a small craft project. The customer service was great and Lawrence was easy to work with. Prices are very decent and shipping was fast.

If you get the wrong person here, you are really out of luck. Went to the showroom to get one simple piece of stock, fully described the dimensions and type as listed on their site. But I got the laziest, most rude person I ever met who started insulting me immediately. They literally told me "order by email, you don't like it get the hell out". After driving entirely across the city, I left without buying, shocked, angry and unwilling to give them a cent

Customer service is incredibly rude. We received 5 damaged pieces out of 6. There was no protective packaging upon delivery. They were just loosely laid in the back of the delivery driver's truck. We reported the damage once the delivery driver left and were immediately blamed for mishandling the product when we hadn't even moved it from where the delivery driver left them. They reluctantly gave us a partial refund $100 out of over $1000 just for us to peel the film off and for 2 of them to be completely scratched and unusable. Probably scratched as a result of shifting around in the back of the truck without being tied down or without any protection on the top or bottom. They didn't respond to our emails about these issues and then when we finally called they said it was our fault for not handling with care. Which we handled it with much more care than their delivery driver demonstrated. When moving them we laid them on a ridgid board of MDF with a moving blanket wrapped around and at least 2 people to handle the product together. We left the protective film on until the end of the project to keep them protected but when calling to get the 2 severely scratched and unusable pieces replaced they told us that it's "obvious" that we should have removed the protective film right away which if that's the case they should inform their customers that that is their expectation. Products are poor quality but the customer service and care is abysmal. We wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. Every owner/employee we spoke with needs management training and an attitude adjustment. We're now out over $400 and are having to find an alternative supplier because this company isn't worth a 2nd gamble.

Sent me the wrong colour of plastic and two separate agents gave me the runaround when I phoned to ask for a replacement.They've taken my money without sending me what I ordered, but at least I can leave a negative review.If anyone from Plastic World is reading this, the order # is 25417 and I'd still appreciate a replacement, thanks.

Had two pieces delivered that had been left by a 3rd party delivery service that they sent. After installing the mirrors I pulled the film off to realize that they had been scratched from top to bottom the entire mirror looked as if it had been dragged across a bed of nails. I reached out and they said because I had “worked with them” meaning I put glue on the back and stuck them up they are taking no responsibility. They were delivered with only paper wrapping and with the mirror sides facing out instead of what I think would be common sense to put the important side on the inside. So I’m out roughly $700. Do not deal with this company I would advise they are completely incompetent and will look for any reason like “working with it” as a scapegoat. How do you not protect a delicate item being shipped?

Good range of supplies. I like this place. I've shopped here a good handful of times since 2017.Some reviews say bad customer service but I'd disagree. I've come here and made mistakes in my order and the staff fixed it for me with no complaints, even when it was a bit of a hassle for them. They've done cuts for me when requested. Overall I'm happy with the service I get here.The service can be a bit 'slow' for people these days because we live in this hyper-fast selfish world nowadays, but if you have even a little bit of patience you'll realize that the staff work at a totally reasonable pace. I think it's the customers in a rush that are unreasonable. Just come knowing what you want or browse their showroom and be patient.Overall, it's my go-to spot for all plastic needs.
