Global Pet Foods
1947 Avenue Road, Felbrigg Ave unit 1, North YorkRosemary has always been there for all of my pets and never steers me wrong! I have a very sensitive and picky dog. She has been a wealth of knowledge in helping me navigate through all of her issues. One of my first visits I was so distraught and didn’t know what to do with my pup and all the vet did was keep giving her more meds and told me to feed chicken and rice (which with rosemary’s help I found out she is allergic to chicken). It wasn’t until Rosemary changed the food completely and even went as far as opening a can right in the store and making little meat balls and started to feed her, that things started getting better. I have never experienced this amount of sincere kindness and concern, dedication and knowledge, especially not in this area. Rosemary always helps me through my dogs flare ups. I’d be lost without her. Can’t imagine going anywhere else. I owe her so much for helping my little one when I felt hopeless. She is truly an angel.

Chien Elegant
136 Felbrigg Ave, North YorkMy dog Ringo is an older dog and his groomer quit a few years ago. Since then we have struggled to find the right fit: someone who both does a good job and is comfortable with Ringo’s biting tendencies as he’s grown uncomfortable with being groomed these days and my god did we find it here! Laurie is hands down the best groomer. She also is affordable! and if not for her Ringo might not be here as she checks his anal glands and she was the one to realize he has cancer which we are treating right now.

Pet Sitting & Training

Cat's Dream Cat Sitting
23 Hollywood Ave, North YorkTed is a great cat sitter. I recently used his cat sitting services while I was away on vacation and it was a great experience. From the first meeting, Ted was professional, friendly, and communicative. During my time away, I received regular updates (messages, photos, and videos). For a few days after I had returned from vacation, my cat Liberty would linger by the door around the time Ted would visit... I think she missed his daily visits!! Anyway, I highly recommend Ted to anyone looking for a reliable and experienced cat sitter in the neighborhood.

The Bark Zone
150 Dell Park Ave, North YorkThe Bark Zone is like a second home for my mini goldendoodle Radley. He’s at the daycare 2-3 times a week and loves the team, not giving me a second look as he dashes into the backyard when the gate opens at drop off. “Mom, who?” is the distinct vibe, particularly if it’s Anett welcoming him in the morning. Everyone there is incredibly supportive and treat Radley like one of their own. So lucky to have Bark Zone in the neighbourhood and for us to be part of their pack!

Dont Yell At Me Toronto
5336 Yonge St, North YorkDon’t Yell at Me is such a cute little spot with a fun vibe. I tried the Tiramisu Tea Latte, and it honestly felt like dessert in a cup creamy, rich, and so comforting. The Osmanthus Tea Latte was lighter and floral, really refreshing. Both drinks were beautifully presented and felt unique compared to other tea places. It’s definitely a nice place to relax and sip something different.

Wolfies Deli
670 Sheppard Ave W, North YorkI got a corned beef sandwich on rye with potato salad and a pickle. Corned beef was super tender, sliced thin and piled high. The hot mustard had a nice kick to it that went perfectly with the rich meat. Both of the workers were very friendly and welcoming, and clearly had a lot of pride in their restaurant. While I had my sandwich, several other customers came in and were greeted warmly. I could tell that this is a local favorite for a good reason. If I lived in the area, I would be stopping by regularly.

BÒN ITALIA TRATTORIA & CAFFÈ
595 Sheppard Ave E #103, North YorkBack for a 2nd time, food just as delicious and fresh as the first time. It was nice to enjoy their reasonably priced lunch menu, we enjoyed the Sicilian (one with turkey and no eggplant) and the Turkey with provolone and jelly. My daughter ordered bow tie pesto pasta di burrata - out of this world fresh and delish! We ordered bruschetta and heated olives/crostini and the maple pecan salad, the dressing was a bit on the sweet side if you don't mind, we found it scrumptious. Desserts were great, cannoli with pistachio filling, chocolate eclair (we think coffee would be better), tiramisu was ok, and best of all of them however was the nutella filled croissant with fresh strawberries, heaven! Happy to go again, and again, and again :-)

Kabalen Restaurant
3778 Bathurst St, North YorkFrom the moment you walk into Kabalen, you know you’re in for something special. The restaurant captures the soul of Filipino dining with its kamayan (“eat with your hands”) feast, served on bright banana leaves for a communal, hands-on experience.
The spread is generous: grilled shrimp, squid, milkfish, mussels, tilapia, succulent pork belly, and skewers — all layered over fragrant, unlimited garlic rice. The seafood is fresh, smoky, and well-seasoned, while the vegetables (okra, eggplant) and mango salad provide a bright and refreshing contrast. Garlic rice is a standout — you’ll understand why people keep going back for more.
Kabalen’s vibe is warm and relaxed, with cozy seating and cultural touches like bamboo decor. The communal tables foster a social dining experience, making it perfect for groups. The energy is lively but not overwhelming — a real gathering place.
Staff are friendly, attentive, and clearly knowledgeable about the kamayan tradition. Look for Meriville for your first visit. They’re ready to guide first-timers through the menu and even provide gloves if you’d rather not get too messy.
For what you get,Kabalen is very reasonably priced. The communal kamayan feast is affordable (especially considering the variety and amount of food), making it a great pick for a filling, shared meal.
Highlights
• Authenticity: One of the best places in Toronto to experience traditional Filipino kamayan.
• Interactive dining: Eating with your hands gives the meal a fun, memorable dimension.
• Generous portions: Great for groups, and rice is unlimited.
Things to Note
• The restaurant can get busy, especially on weekends.
• Because of the hands-on style, things can get a little messy — but that’s part of the charm.

Cafe Landwer
5000 Yonge St, North YorkSo… my wife and I have been regulars at this gem of a restaurant ever since we moved into the neighbourhood over a year ago. We’ve always had our go-to favourites—the Truffle Mushroom Pasta (absolutely addictive!) and the Fresh Grilled Salmon (perfect every single time).
But today, we decided to branch out and try two of the Chef’s specials: the Creamy Cajun Chicken Pasta and the Sea Bass with layered potatoes. OMG—both dishes were out of this world! Flavor-packed, beautifully presented, and cooked to perfection. These weren’t just good… they hit it out of the park.
Looks like our “all-time favourites” list just got an update. Bravo to the Chef and team—this place keeps surprising us in the best way possible!
