Beware of this company’s VIP membership, it charges $16 per month without notice. I don’t even remember signing up for that, I found it on credit card statement. They make no communication every month that it’s being billed. Very sneaky way to steal money

This place has beautiful clothes but they should stop the "Elderspeak", its very shaming and discouraging!!For those who don't know, elderspeak involves (to quote Karen Austin), listing just the examples I myself experienced at this store:Speaking slowlySpeaking loudlyUsing a sing-song voiceInflecting statements to sound like a questionUsing the pronouns “we,” “us,” and “our” in place of “you.”: “How are we doing today?”Using pet names such as “sweetheart,” “dearie,” or “honey”Shortening sentencesSimplifying syntax (sentence structure)Simplifying vocabularyRepeating statements or questions

I'm furious that #Chadwicks in #BayviewVillage Village, an upscale women's clothier, refuses to honour a verbal commitment to give me a full refund if I returned an unworn blouse within 7 days of purchase. On Wednesday I accompanied a friend who needed to find a dress for a special event. I asked the 2 salespeople working at the store that night if I could return the blouse for a full refund if I didn't like it because i didnt want to shift the focus from my friend by going into the change room myself. They said "absolutely" I could return it for an exchange or refund within 7 days. Two days later I went back to the store to return the blouse and was told the store policy was exchanges only. I asked to speak with the manager and was told she wasn't there but would call me in the morning. I spoke with the manager today and she refused to honour the verbal commitment made to me by her staff. Unbelievable lack of integrity! Astonishing and very disappointing. To add insult to injury, I now have to make a return trip to the store and find something else in exchange for the blouse for $265.55. Lesson learned. Do not take Chadwicks at their word. Never again.
