There was nothing viking about this place. It's all home and garden, man cave stuff. Why is this called Viking Shop?

The staff were extremely rude. My son was just standing on the stairs when an old lady began shouting at him to move away. I strongly advise against visiting this shop!

Very rude Staff! Crazy lady at the front porch keeps shouting at customers not to touch anything! My advice, don't go in. They don't deserve your business.

Absolutely horrendous, hospitality is non-existent and the clerks' attitude was extremely inappropriate. I was visiting Niagara on the Lake with my mother because we were tourists coming from Australia. We decided to enter the souvenir shop with myself entering first because my mother was putting rubbish in a nearby bin. When I went inside, the clerk assumed I was a dependent toddler that doesn't think before they act. She exclaimed in an ignorant tone, "you need a parent to enter this shop!" Being the person I am, I headed back outside in confusion; I waited for my mother to come back so I could enter the store. Once I could finally enter with my mother, I carefully picked up a toy motorcycle when the clerk suddenly shouted at the top of her voice, "NO TOUCHING!" My mother and I immediately headed outside the store and walked off in disappointment. One of the worst souvenir shops I have ever been to throughout my whole life.

The Lady there was Absolutely RUDE. I think there’s something wrong with her. We were ready to check out and she was on the phone ignoring us the whole time but told my nephew to stop touching something that we were purchasing. Then asked us very rude how we were paying. We decided to walk away without buying anything from her shop.

This shop’s beautiful items is completely shadowed and ruined by it’s horrible customer service. I was visiting with my parents who wanted signs for their pool and other things to take back home, when a very rude woman approached them while they were reading some of the signs at the porch, and told them to move out of the way as they were blocking the entrance. If you can’t see what you are buying, what kind of store is this. After this, we decided to go in as perhaps there was someone nicer inside, when my son pointed out a few items and touched one of them, this same lady ran over and told him “don’t touch cause you might brake it”. I will never come back to this place. There is no customer service here and one of the best things in Canada is their great customer service. Very disappointing.

Niagara-on-the-Lake is a beautiful place to visit but not so beautiful at this Viking Shop located here though. My family went into this Viking Shop to see what gifts we could buy to take back home or give to friends. My daughter pointed and only touch one item (fridge magnet) and within seconds the shop owner woman at the cashier told my daughter off for touching things at their shop.Okay we respect their policies as kids can accidentally damage items at a gift shop when gift shop tends to be cramped and limited space when walking around. We did select some fridge magnets and postcards so we took them to cashier to pay, and the shop owner at the cashier her attitude was appalling towards us (no greeting or smilies) and there were no good customer services at a tourist gift shop here.My sister-in-law saw we bought some fridge magnets, and then she decided to buy some as well. Same again when paying for her items at the cashier, the same owner served her and still no kindness or gratitude or any customer service at all.The owner needs to go out of town more and see the real world and learn what is the meaning of customer service, when they are meant to be gift shop in tourist area.Definitely DO NOT recommend to go to this Viking Shop at Niagara-on-the-Lake.There are other gift shops out there that would have better customer service attitude towards customers.

Gift and specialty shop [Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON Canada]This is a cute souvenir shop located in the downtown area of Niagara-on-the-Lake in Ontario. They have everything! They carried almost all of the merchandise I was looking for for my (hard-to-find gifts for) daughter. Staff (or owner) were friendly and helpful. It can get busy (and crowded) inside so be mindful and tread lightly. There are enough items on the front porch to browse through that it took me at least 20 mins to check them out even before entering the store, which took me even longer inside. Just so much to see. Just grateful for my loving husband just patiently waiting outside. LoL! Worth stopping by if looking for unique gifts or souvenirs.Find this store on Queen Street (main street).Review #3057
