Called ahead before going to identify myself after opening an account online only when arrived the doors were closed but the business was open and did not allow us in. So first experience was a bit of hassle... not sure how opening an account online is more convenient when you have to go in book appointment to open account anyway... however all that being said. When appointment was booked and was able to sit with someone she was very helpful, respectful, nice and informative....she actually seemed like she liked her job ?

Awful bank to deal with. Been waiting for a couple months to get a response to see why a "Government check" is denied twice saying I don't have an account with the Meridian bank. I pay my bills through the Meridian bank. Can someone please contact me. I'm just getting really frustrated!!

Less talk, more action, please.While I appreciate the reply from meridianCU, the fact that I am echoing many other prior reviews is disappointing in itself. Just improve on the management & culture at this branch, please! Again: Less talk, and more action, please!All that being said, I remain thankful to everyone at Meridian who has helped take care of my financial matters for over a decade now, in the Niagara Region and Toronto ?

How the heck do you give people personal checks, when the information is not right on the checks and my paycheck got returned because I suppose don't have an account with you!! Not cool what so ever!!

I had Lauren J. help me yesterday and she was incredibly kind and polite! A client before me had given her a hard time and I watched her remain polite to that client and still give him help. Lauren deserves all the applause for how she handled that situation as well as continued staying composed and friendly to clients after. Thank you again for your help!

Worst ever !ive been with them since before 2000 and they still hold my pay checks (14years same place ) and talked to everyone there plus head office and they say that’s normal , Thats a great bank for u holds your pay so that they have your money to invest and get richer off of !!!bc if it was cashed out they wouldnt have your money to do so ! I Caught on to your scamming !

We were looking to move our accounts from a bank and open an additional account with Meridian. We were even looking at mortgage options for our renewal next year. We applied for a credit card for which we were denied based on information the financial adviser already had, but did not realize would be a factor in the approval process. Ultimately, he said he would escalate the matter and call us back. He never did. We will now stay with our current bank and will not be considering Meridian for our mortgage.
