This Food Basics has great produce buyers. The produce here is just as nice, or better than Zhers and Sobeys. And FAR less expensive. You don't have as large a selection on a lot of food items but I'm quite happy to shop here. Friendly helpful staff as well.

Cashier didn't have her smart serve. Which is no big deal. But for her to explain it to me, I could barely understand a word she was saying. Think she learned 5 words in English. Maybe hire locals, who speak English.

Me and my boyfriend came in, going through check-out, Mackenzie noticed my pride shirt and rolled her eyes at me immediately, and just seem aggravated the rest of our interaction. Me and my boyfriend are openly gay, and it made us really uncomfortable. Honestly never felt judgement from a cashier like this before.

Want to take a moment and compliment the pharmacy. All the staff is extremely personable, and if you have any concerns or issues about your Rx they are attentive and do what they can to help. They are very fast and efficient in terms of filling out prescriptions. Outstanding service all the time. I highly recommend this pharmacy to anyone.

I like to come here for the big selection the only problem Ive been having lately is one of the male workers being very rude towards me. First time it happened I generally didnt think anything of it. He basically will ignore me, and only talk to my husband even tho Im the one paying, and at the register while my husband is bagging the food. He has done this 3 times now, and Ive tried to avoid him as much as possible. Today was the final straw for me. I paid as well as asked for cash back my husband was bagging the food, and this male worker saw I was paying immediately looked away from me to ignore me, and asked my husband to sign the receipt. I piped up, and informed him its my card he just rolled his eyes at me slammed the recipt down in front of me. After I signed he immediately gave the money to my husband, and still ignored me. I understand there are different cultures, but this is highly inappropriate behavior. I've been nothing, but respectful to only be disrespected. This needs to be addressed, and fixed.
