Visited during August advertised sale in Barrie. Not many big markdown items remaining. Found the regular prices to be high, for what I thought was average or mediocre quality. Bought 2 simple half decent summer t shirt type tops on 50% markdown. Their quality barely better than Walmart, and costing more than Walmart prices. I didn't think it was worth the visit. Similar or better things on Amazon for less$
Edit- when required , I was assisted by a pleasant staff. Rating has nothing to do with service of staff. My rating has to do with my perception of high prices versus the quality of items.

Looking for a stylist? Stacey is your girl! She knows every piece of garment in this store. Has a great eye for fit and colour. She juggled myself and at least 4 others single handedly, while working the sales desk with the nicest smile. She showed that she loves her job and people. Thank you Stacey with my outfits! Couldn't have done it without you! :)

Carmen (Store Manager) always goes above and beyond to help me find what I'm looking for. She's compassionate, caring and never hesitates to spend the time with me, even when the store is crazy busy. She's the reason I return here on a regular basis. I'm always hoping she's in when I go. Even if you find something you like but they don't have your size, they will order it for you, making it super easy.

When shopping in this store, and you need any assistance, definitely ask for Stacy. She's EXTREMELY helpful and very nice. Definitely an asset to the company.

Whoever does the buying for Penningtons clothing should get a new job. I never find nice stuff in that store. It always looks dated and it's so expensive for cheap quality material! Such a rip off. Walmart is so much cheaper for the same type of quality stuff. At the very least, at Walmart you're not getting ripped off!

I know staff is short but the service was lacking, pricing of merchandise wasn't clear but the store was laid out nicely. I didn't see much Christmas apparel. Guess I went on an off day.
