I purchased a heater today at Mission Thrift Newmarket. Plugged it in at home and recieved an electrical burn. After the burn I inspected the heater cord and noticed the cord was severely damaged. Usually any appliance I have purchased has a "TESTED WORKS" sticker placed on it by Mission Thrift staff but no such sticker was on this heater. Upon looking at the price tag sticker, it reads "SOLD AS IS". I guess it makes it my fault! Lesson learned.

Linda and Irene were so helpful and delightful and handled an angry irrational customer with such grace, I was amazed! The store is organized and well stocked!

I used to enjoy going to old location once in a while. Price were fair and treasures once in a while. New location is way over priced same stuff every time you go in broken toys, incomplete board games basically all the stuff that they don’t want to sell online or is not worth selling online. Your sales dont make up for the over priced stuff. Good luck finding treasure there. Just find whatever platform their selling on and buy it off there if you want to support them.

Prices are higher than other Mission stores and they have no dressing rooms to try anything on…. Which I only found out after I spent over an hour filling my cart. I left with nothing. Disappointing.

One of my favourite thrifts to visit. I always find a vintage treasure here. It’s my go to for housewares and vintage decor. I haven’t been successful in the clothing department, I do find there prices higher then other thrifts for this. They now have a loyalty card where you can earn points which is a nice perk if you visit often. The store is always clean and the staff are friendly.The do have great hours open 6 days a week from 9am-9pm.If your thrifting in the Newmarket area don’t forget to check them out. A few pics of some past purchases I was happy with :)
