I am an Engineer and I do a lot of work with New Castle Drafting. I have nothing but praises for these folks. They are honest and down to earth. They are easy people to work with. I highly recommend these guys to anyone looking for home designers.

I had a very disappointing experience with Todd (the owner) and this company in general. I had called Newcastle Drafting and Design because they were referred by a contractor I was hoping to use to add a big addition to our house. At first, Todd seemed very down to earth and knowledgeable. He came to our house to get all the details of the project, and measure up the project so he could create the blueprints. I approved his quote verbally on the spot. At that time he told me he would deliver the design in 2 weeks, because I made it very clear that we wanted to start construction in the summer.
As the 2 week point approached, I followed up with an email to Todd to make sure he was still on track to deliver the design by the date he promised. NO RESPONSE!
I figured ok he's busy, so waited until the 3 week point, and emailed him again, at which time I sent him a follow up email asking him if the design was ready or would be soon. Within a few hours I received an email response saying "Sorry for not replaying to the earlier email. Sometimes I get so busy that I forget to respond to all the emails I get. After getting your new email I have decided not to continue with your project. ". Professionalism and common courtesy would dictate that if you knew a client had a timeline, and you couldn't meet it, then do agree to take on the job. All in all, he's now delayed our entire project by at least 4 weeks.
So if you're looking for a company that will actually do what they say they will do and adhere to deadlines they set, I do not recommend Newcastle Drafting and Design.
