I called to schedule an appointment and spoke with the owner, Mark. He seemed irritated by my request, which was quite confusing. He then gave me some strange advice, like wearing loose-fitting clothes because my clothes might feel tight after eating, and to finish all my shopping beforehand since I might be too uncomfortable to shop with a full stomach. This was all quite odd, and I won’t be returning.

A real find! There is not much else in New Dundee but the Emporium is certainly a destination, well worth the trip. An eclectic place featuring clothing, accessories, but also jams, preserves, fresh baking etc. High tea is served by reservation later in the week.
Mark, the proprietor is a friendly, knowledgeable person who is on his own worth the visit.
Highly recommend the Emporium.

Went for gluten free High Tea today. Was delicious!! Also bought some gluten free frozen food to take hame and some clothing from the shop! Was a truly lovely visit.

Had my baby shower here today. Everything was lovely. The high tea and staff were both amazing. Their scones are 10/10!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!
This was by far the worst dining experience of my life!!!!! My family and I were there this past Mother’s Day and what a joke! Charged $50 per person, even the babies! I have an egg allergy. The chef came out and said I couldn’t eat anything on the platter, she then hands me a plate of grilled veggies (that I don’t even like) and it was presented wrapped up in a leaf of lettuce. Gross! I didn’t even ask for this! Later I do some research and find out scones and sandwiches and chocolate covered fruit are all items that have no eggs, yet she told me I couldn’t eat any of it. So I was charged $50 for a cup of tea! I’m super pissed off. Super upset! Our bill came out to over $700 for 8 adults (only 7 ate). Heck they wouldn’t even allow us to bring in the flowers for our mom. Please do not support this business.

The girlfriends and I had a wonderful late morning and early afternoon at the NDE. First we shopped in the boutique. Thank you Mark for helping us pick and choose such lovely garments and for your fashion advice. Afterwards, we had High Tea and it was a culinary delight! Excellent service.

Worth the visit. High Tea was delicious and staff were awesome. Boutique had fantastic selection of jewellery, facinators, bags and clothes. You will love it very helpful staff. Don't forget to get your sconces and Devon cream. Yummy. *****

I visited with my parents and my sister for high tea for my sister’s birthday. It was our first time at the Emporium. It is a lovely spot and we were treated royally by the two owners. The high tea was excellent. The sandwiches and baked goods were delicious. My sister is celiac and they specialize in making all the regular high tea delicacies gluten free for those who want it. She was thrilled. We had a great time and will definitely be back.

My husband and I went for High Tea today and it was delicious !! We are both vegetarian so we called ahead to see if they could accommodate us and they said absolutely! The food was delicious, fresh and very flavourful. The dining room has such a quaint atmosphere too :)It was our first time there and we will definitely be back!Thanks Mark & Danny!
