“Honestly the best experience I've ever had purchasing training shoes. The store has a clean, minimalist vibe and everything is well labeled. I could have picked out a pair myself but I wanted to get a professionals opinion. Karen helped me ultimately choose a pair of New Balance v12's which by the way were literally almost $100 off!! I have never experienced such seemless shopping in Ottawa for running accessories. Best athletic shoe store for avid runners for sure!

“My recent visit to Running Room was a really pleasant surprise, especially considering my initial worries as a mid/plus-size person. From the moment I walked in, the staff were warm and welcoming, which was a nice change from some other athletic stores I've been to. What stood out the most was how inclusive the atmosphere was. When I mentioned how much I appreciated the great customer service, especially as someone with a larger body type, they replied, 'Fitness comes in all shapes and sizes.' That really stuck with me and made me feel genuinely welcome.
I also wanted to try out the Hoka Bondi 8, and the staff were super helpful. They not only helped me find the right pair but also took the time to explain the features of the shoe so I could make a good choice. They made ordering the specific colorway I wanted really easy too.
I'm definitely going back to Running Room for all my future athletic needs. Their awesome service and focus on inclusivity have made me a loyal customer. Highly recommended!

“This is a great store run by good and helpful people. However, their hours make it extremely difficult to shop there and it's doubtful I would go back for that reason. I personally would never be able to make it weekdays between 11 and 5 and Thursday (the one evening they are open) they don't do skate sharpening. I would really encourage the owner to consider different hours.”

“It's definitely nice to have a local soccer shop to go to. Even though their prices are the same or higher than online, I'll gladly pay a little more to support a local brick & mortar store, but... what's with the odd return policies? After buying $300+ worth of gear, 1 day later I tried to return $18 unused/unopened socks with the receipt and they wouldn't accept the return. So strange. Make sure you double check the return policy on the items you're buying so you don't get caught like I did.Responding to the owner's reply:The socks were UNOPENED and still in the original packaging. It is literally impossible to wear the socks unless the packaging was opened, which it was not (see pictures). I could understand your response if the packaging had been opened, but this was not the case. The employee serving me also noticed they weren't opened and apologized saying he had no choice but to deny the refund because it's store policy. There are many other stores that accept socks for refunds as long as they are in the original, unopened packaging. Why doesn't Disalvo just adopt a similar policy? Adjust the policy rather than challenge an honest customer's review about it.”

“Really nice store, great layout. The clothes are really nice, but I'm told that the clothing quality has really regressed recently. The fitting rooms have really weird lighting, not sure if they're flattering.
Personally, I'd prefer that employees not approach me every time I walk into the store to ask me if I need anything. I appreciate the sentiment and the overall message, but it makes me feel more anxious than anything (I probably am not alone in this situation).”
