This is one of the stores that I give a 5/5 to. Several years ago I purchased a chair for my condo. I could wander around the showroom and actually sit down (important for older persons who ache, get dizzy, etc.). My experience enables me to classify this store as an age friendly store.

Came in on boxing day looking for a new couch. Amanda was super nice and helped me pick out a gorgeous decorest couch. We ended up getting it custom too! I went back later and picked out a chaise to match. Amanda was super helpful the entire process and the delivery team was fantastic. They set up everything quickly and didn't leave any mess behind. Would definitely recommend!

Buying our first couch could not have been a more enjoyable experience! Tyler gave us the space and freedom to explore on our own and when we were ready to ask questions he was exceptionally helpful and very kind. We also got a great deal and quick delivery compared to many other retailers. We’re thrilled to support this local business.

We recently purchased a sectional from Sofa World (on Merival Road in Ottawa) with the help of Rima. She was really nice, amazing client services and attentive to our needs. Rima was really patient and provided us with all the options available. She was easy to reach out afterwards and would get back to us quickly. Highly recommend :)

I bought a recliner and loveseat 2 years ago. They are extremely comfortable and the material is soft and easy to care for. They were delivered on time and installed perfectly by their team. Two years later, I had a question concerning the rocking motion of the chair and phoned the store. Within hours, I had the answer to my question and Amanda, (I believe she is part of the family-owned business) took the time to email me to make sure I had received an answer. I am very impressed with the quality of their furniture and the care of their staff. I totally recommend this family-owned business.

We recently purchased a sofa set from Sofa World. Chantal Roy helped us attentively throughout the selection and customization of sofa. She even invited the store designer to help us customize the fabric color. Her knowledge, patience, and friendliness is next to none! The delivery of the sofa was also smooth with wonderful customer service. I hence have recommended Chantal and Sofa World to several of my colleagues.

I can't share enough positive words about Sofa World and Rima especially. She made the entire process stress free, exciting, easy, and overall just really great. It was my first time buying a sofa and I had been searching far and wide for the perfect one, which Rima helped us find in just one day; in fact, in less than 2 hours. She truly went the extra mile and catered to our wants and needs with such a genuineness to her, and such a kindness. She instantly made us feel like family. The delivery also went extremely smoothly (white glove service and the best people - shout out to the delivery men) and we were met with the nicest people throughout the entire process. The couch itself is also such high quality! Thank you so much Rima and team for everything. You've definitely earned our loyalty and we'll be singing your praises! :)

If I could give more than five stars I would. Rima was such a sweet, knowledgeable associate at the Merivale location. So patient even though we arrived ten minutes before closing. Zero pressure sales and willing to work with us to find exactly what we wanted. When I picked up at the warehouse, Ricky was amazing. So thorough and helpful getting the large pieces to fit in our smaller truck. I won't shop anywhere else for furniture again. The service was exceptional, and I absolutely love my new couch.

I have never bought a couch from this company or ever BUT my neighbour did today. In ottawa there was a BIG snow storm so our road was coated in think tall layers of snow. Sofa world arrives, gets stuck. The driver proceeded to knock on their door, ask for a shovel and got to it. Maybe an hour later, they got their couch (even after the truck had to get towed). I know it was probably his job that he had to deliver it but regardless, he did this all with the BIGGEST smile on his face and not a single complaint. Great guy, even offered to help us with our snow problems. Great company.

I wish I could give a higher rating. From the beginning, Snow L. was looking out for me as a salesperson. She walked me through the entire showroom once I identified what I was looking for. Then, she pointed out the pros and cons of each manufacture and price point. She used her interior design skills to come up with a plan for our Family room. Once we identified the make and model of our furniture, she helped me select a fabric, again, giving the pros and cons of each. Snow was never pushy or trying to sell me something i did not want or need. Once that was established, Snow worked deligently on my behalf to get the best price possible. Having visited 7 competitors in the Ottawa area, I know Snow got me an excellent price for quality furniture.Snow then kept in contact on a regular basis while the furniture was being constructed. She said up a great day for delivery and the 2 gentlemen who delivered, assembled and placed my 3 heavy pieces of furniture in a quick and professional fashion.If you are ready to buy quality furniture at very competitive prices, you need to contact Snow Li at Sofa World on Merivale. My wife and I are so pleased with the look, feel and quality of our new furniture and Snow made the process so much easier. K and T O'Brien
