The customer service in the beauty department is a total joke. Every single sales rep is glued to their phones, barely looking up to acknowledge you. When you actually need help, they act like you're some kind of nuisance for making them do the bare minimum of their job.
The woman at the Chanel counter? An absolute nightmare. She's always there, parked behind the counter, endlessly scrolling on her phone. I literally try to avoid going when she’s there, but that’s almost impossible when you actually need something for an event. She’s the worst of the bunch: incredibly rude and condescending. She treats customers like dirt, looking at you as if you’re a peasant wasting her time.
To top it off, when I finally did buy something—a significant purchase, mind you—she just threw it in a bag like it was garbage. No wrapping, no thank you, no nothing. How is this even acceptable for a high-end brand in 2024? It’s like they’re completely out of touch with reality and what’s expected for a luxury shopping experience. Frankly, it’s embarrassing for Chanel to have someone like that representing them.

I have not been to the Bay in over 10 years, but walking through brought back so many childhood memories with my Nana. Lots has changed, but it's still a beautiful store.

Watching this store die is painful. They're not successfully adapting to a changing market and they're in a clear downward spiral. Drastic change would be required to come in line with 2024 retail.

They have a good selection of clothing reasonable pricing l really enjoyed browsing to try and find something l would like to buy however l think it’s good to bring attention that some worker followed me from one end of the store to another like l was stealing it’s not a nice feeling when your trying to shop. That’s what cameras are for you shouldn’t stereo type people.
