Reposting this because I realized I left the review on the wrong Canadian tire. My apologies to Canadian Tire on Heron. I took my car in here to get it fixed, the service department made it sound like the had located all of the issues in my car, however they started adding on more and more charges. ended up with 1000+$ bill and a car that still isn't working. I asked them to show me my old parts, to which they said they had been disposed of since my car had been in the shop for SO long (3 days). I asked to only pay for the service and they can take their parts back since the car still does not work, they told me that the "parts were now used and had lost value since they were installed in the car" and then when told me that a new car being taken for a test drive makes the car "used". Not to mention the needless oil change and battery replacement done. I get that I agreed to all of the maintenance, but it was under the impression that they had found all the issues. So either they are incompetent or just plain disingenuous with their customers. I have been a customer at this service center on and off for 8 years, and this will be the last time I come here unfortunately. Do not bring your car to be serviced here, and if you can get a second opinion. Furthermore since this happened: Canadian tire asked me to reach out to customer service I have since then contacted their customer service department and 2 seperate customer service people have slammed the phone shut when I said I experienced bad service. Classy!

I don't normally review but the auto service here was awful! I got my car towed in with a flat tire that had a leak in it....they said it was fixed and only need a valve replacement (I don't know cars so I was like okay). My tire started to go flat again a few days later so I took it to another shop and THEY DIDNT EVEN REMOVE THE NAIL. They didn't take the tire off at all to look for the leak, the nail was still in my tire and I was driving with a nail in it with my two year old for days without knowing. Whether it's lack of knowledge, to get money or lack of caring that is ridiculous!!

terrible service, treated like a thief. won't shop anywhere that has a bag check. enough other hardware stores in town I can blissfully pretend that Canadian tire doesn't exist the next time I start a project. more cameras or actually hire enough staff. don't download your problems onto paying customers

I normally don't write bad reviews but this is the second time I have had a very bad experience with the mechanic shop. First time I was told it would only take me 1 hour to replace the alternator so I had my truck towed there. After waiting in the waiting room for 6 hours (they kept telling me I was next when in fact 4 people that came after me left before me, these people also told me they were just walk ins.) they told me they actually had to order the part and it was going to have to be the next day. It took a total of 30 hours from the time I dropped my truck off till I could pick it up. Today I brought my truck in for tires I was told it would take 1 to 2 hours no more than 3 hours. I waited around for 5 hours to get my tires changed. They told me they had to go and pick up a fourth tire when they had previously told me they were in stock... After leaving the shop I noticed the fan on my truck would no turn off. It was overheating. I went back to investigate and saw where they parked my truck there was coolant all over the ground. After this I began to inspect truck and my rims and sure enough 2 out of 4 rims were chipped and scratched badly. I will never ever be going back to this place or any Canadian Tire for any sort of services. When I confronted the worker all he kept saying was he only did tires so nothing else could of happened. I said clearly things happen and you just don't tell people when it does. He said he would of told me so. I asked, "why didn't you tell about the chipped rims." He went silent for a moment and tried to make up an excuse that there was too much grease and something had slipped. I'm really upset and disappointed with the service even out of all the things that happened the worst is being told one thing and getting another. Both these times I could of went on with my day if I wasn't told "I was next" "It will only take an hour or two". I get things happen and people make mistakes but own up to it....

My worst experience was with an employee named Gale.
I bought a vacuum cleaner for a few hours only and I returned it and gave her the receipt. The employee refused to return it and said I had to replace it. My baby was in the car, he was 20 days old. I asked her to give me the money with giftcard so I could buy things I needed but at another time because my baby was crying with his father. She insisted on refusing and told me I had to buy something now instead of the vacuum cleaner or the entire amount would be gone. I was very tired and started crying and asked to see the manager but he did not come. I had to replace the vacuum cleaner with a very bad set of pots worth $200 and I do not need it at all. She said that I will not be able to replace it at any Canadian Tire store.I do not recommend it at all

Auto repair centre charged extra during oil change to “TOP UP FLUIDS includes premium washer fluid”. Once I paid, I popped my hood and saw that the washer fluid had not been filled. Makes me doubt that all the other claimed checks were done either.

Gale, from Customer Service gave us excellent service.
She appreciated our concerns and went far beyond a usual representative would. Koodos to her and the manager.

I had an awful experience with the call centre, while I only wanted to know if they rent lawn mowers, the lady speaking on the phone was super rude and didn’t know how to speak with a customer at all.

I went for an oil change that was quoted at $29.99, but I ended up being charged an additional $11—$6 for waste disposal and $5 for topping up my washer fluid. The waste disposal fee was never mentioned when I was quoted the price, but I brushed it off at the time. What really bothered me was the extra charge for "premium" washer fluid.
About half an hour after leaving the shop, I got a low washer fluid warning on my dashboard, which surprised me since I had just paid for it. It was late, and I live far from the location, so I decided to return the next day to address the issue.
When I arrived at Canadian Tire, I inquired about the extra charges. I started with the waste disposal fee, and the receptionist explained it was for the oil. I asked if this should be part of the oil change cost, but she insisted it was part of a package, which I wasn't informed about. I then asked about the washer fluid charge, and she gave me the same explanation.
I told her twice that none of these charges were mentioned to me when I initially got the oil change. Finally, I asked about the low washer fluid warning, and she offered to top it up. While I appreciated that they helped me when I returned, I felt disappointed and scammed by the extra charges and the time wasted to resolve an issue they created.
