The owner is a really great guy - friendly and very helpful. I usually go here to buy spices, flatbread, and rice, but sometimes I’ll grab some hot food when I’m in a rush.

Our go-to place for halal meats because it’s beside my daughter’s music school and the meats are generally fresh. (Don’t get their clearance meat though.)They carry injera from Tizita Bakeshop! $1 more than from the actual shop but it’s worth it considering the gas price…

Store is selling raw meats that have been packed almost a week ago.Raw chicken should not be stored in the fridge for longer than a few days at most.Will not be buying meats from here.

I cannot even begin to describe the smell. It made me so nauseous. The smell stuck to my clothes my hair. I had to run home and shower immediately.

First time visiting Barrhaven Market, and let me tell you it was absolutely wonderful! The staff was friendly and the selection in herbs and spices was fantastic. I bought delicious curry leaves for my coconut cashew curry dish and it turned out fantastic. Not only that I decided to try their take out buffet dishes and all I can say is WOW! The chicken, kebabs, and especially the Lamb was out of this world not to mention the delicious rice with raisins! I will be back ?

The merchandise is amazing very good prices for a lot of spices I bought were amazingly affordable . Unfortunately one major problem when I entered the store there was no one there and I mean no staff for at least good 10 -20 min I was all by myself roaming around the entire market with no one in sight . I’m writing this because my heart goes out the owners of the market and I want them to know to please make sure you know what your employees are doing. If it was someone else they could have easily stolen things from there with the amount of time they had alone. Also when the employee decided to show up I acknowledge him with a greeting and he just looked my way and ignored me. When I went to pay for my stuff, there’s no Friendly convo or any questions of weather I want a bag or not. He scans my stuff and leaves with the debit scan on . I had to ask for a bag before leaving .

I forgot my mask, and they wanted to charge me $5 to buy a pack of 10. Although it rarely happens, anytime I do that my local grocery store happily provides them. You lost my business for a 0.25cent mask sir.
