Very disappointed and will not be shopping here anymore. They have started charging a fee to use credit/debit card at check out when paying for items purchased. This practice should be banned and made into a law to stop gouging customers every step of the way. Now I'm afraid all grocery stores are going to jump on the bandwagon and do the same. Bad enough the banks rip us off with all kinds of charges for using their services including credit card fees. What will it take to get rich folks from stopping to exploit the everyday, ordinary people while filling their coffers with zillions of dollars. It is high time they grew a conscience!!

I've been shopping here with my entire family for the last 10 years and the place was really nice. However recently they're selling really bad food. I've bought watermelons chicken and other stuff and it was rotten inside. I cook food for less fortunate people for local church and they would not exchange it for me. I am a regular customer their insisted on receipts and argue that the food is good.
So please be aware what you buying and make sure you keep your receipt otherwise there will not exchange the bad food that you buy here. There's a new place I started to go Terra Food located at Dundas st and Glen Erin Dr. This prices is a lot better in qualit of meat, fish, vegetables and fruits. Everything seems to be nice and fresh and very friendly staff. This is where my family and I start buying food now and I buy for local church too just wanted to share that with you. Pictures inside are from Terra FoodMarket.
I am very disappointed with the manager and Yuan Ming Supermarket.

I really like this international/Asian market, but it's made a number of mistakes I think they can fix, and it will be top tier again. Before Covid, YM had an internal restaurant that was very reasonably priced compared to Btrust and TnT, which is also in the area. Earlier this year, they finally opened it again, and I think it vastly improved the shopping experience... BUT... the restaurant never seems to be open. Only on the weekend. They had cheap VC buns, baked goods, and dinner food for takeout, including roasted meats. Now there are no cheap buns, there's NO BAKERY, there's no place to sit and socialize... and the takeout is closed every time I go during the week. TnT, on the other hand, has cheap dum sim takeout as soon as they open at 9 am with tons of in-house and imported baked goods. There's always people there first thing eating breakfast. At lunch, it is PACKED.
Asians love to socialize and EAT!! It would vastly improve service by offering a wide variety of food via baked goods and takeout and.most importantly, provide a place to sit and eat.
Over the last 4 years, they've renewed the store to make it look nicer. Yeah... it looks much better but prices are also much higher too....they were always a little cheaper than anyone else, so people went there. Now, we tend to go a little further to TnT so we can grab some food for the kids, especially since the prices aren't great anymore.
There's less variety than before. We used to be able to find items that other stores didn't carry. Now, we find them at any store we shop in, and most of the time, it's not available at YM.
The location of the store is better than the other Asian markets in Mississauga, IMHO. Easy to get in and out and you have a light if you really need it.
Just replace the things you've lost over the years, and I think this place will be top notch again.

The owner of Yuanming Supermarket is so awesome. His employees overcharge customers and he doesn’t educate his employees, so he starts educating customers! ! What a wealthy man [ThumbsUp][ThumbsUp][ThumbsUp]. Farewell, Yuanming Supermarket.
The boss is so protective to his employees. The employee made a mistake to take more money from customer, and the boss did not blame his employee. he blamed the customer. Why did the customer come back to complain? Goodbye forever!

I was looking for tapioca and popping Bobba, and I didn't want to order online due to urgency. For some reasons I just thought lemme check out this supermarket because I couldn't find what I was looking for at walmart.
Guess what! Upon entrance, I was welcomed with a clean and different variety of options. In my opinion, the clean blissful aisles, idealic commodities, and international food choices make Yuan Ming one of the coolest supermarkets in Mississauga.
Their prices are also fair. I spent roughly $4 for a packet of the tapioca and some bobba. Now we know where to shop for international house food commodities✔️.

Yuan Ming Supermarket is a great place for the Asian community. They offer a wide variety of products at fairly affordable prices compared to other stores in the Kitchener-Waterloo area. The shelves are always neatly organized, making it easy to find what you need. Highly recommended!

The special price of barbecued pork rice is $3.99, which is a ridiculous deal! The barbecued pork is almost good, but some of the rice needs to be improved. It's not cooked evenly, one tastes raw and the other tastes cooked.
