I had a great experience with TradeSpan. It was recommended to me by a friend after one of the competitors lost packages and damaged others. My friend said they had a good experience.
So I decided to go with TradeSpan.
The collection was easy and was on time, I was a little nervous about my package being in a big truck by itself but the driver assured me he'll do what he can to make sure it doesn't get damaged. Documentation and payment were both pretty easy and right on schedule. When they said the items would arrive, they did!
They only I would say they can improve on is that they didn't have a delivering service on the other end but they did say I could organise that privately and they gave recommendations. I collected my package and to my surprise and pleasure, no damage. Kudos to them.

I’m providing this update as Sean “the so called vice president” response to my review was that I tried to defraud his “mom and pops” company by writing bad cheques. Posted below….is a letter from my bank confirming I’ve NEVER written a Cheque to Tradespan…..much less to wrote a bad one. I’ve also attached the etransfer payment I made which went through without any issues as well as confirmed by my bank. Other payments I’ve made over the years have been via e-transfer or cash to the warehouse when I dropped my items off which was also confirmed by one of the staff over the phone who sent me via email the invoices (base on my requested) all other payments made to Tradespan without issues….however what no one at Tradespan including Sean can’t seem to send me is proof or copy of the BAD CHEQUE I wrote
I’m updating my review with my PROOF….not for Sean but for YOU the potential customers who have decided to do proper due diligence and check out the reviews prior to entrusting this so called company with your shipment. Again you don’t have to look very far….and it’s not just his response to my review and you don’t even have to rely on all the other customers who wrote poor reviews that described a poor experience….JUST LOOK AT HOW HE RESPONDS TO THE REVIEWS left by his customers….clearly unprofessional, and stench of a condescending, demeaning and a arrogant tone…..you really have to ask yourself….”IS THIS THE TYPE OF PERSON I WANT TO ENTRUST MY SHIPMENT TO??? HOW WILL HE TREAT AN ISSUE WITH MY SHIPMENT, SHOULD ONE ARISES??? I’m not surprised he responded in the way that he did….by telling a bold face lie as oppose to accepting some accountability….accusing someone of fraud is a very serious accusation and I could have my attorney rip him to threads financially but he’s not worth my time….for I’ve learned over the years…persons who behave like Sean does…is truly not happy within themselves and their poor behaviour is just a reflection of the ugliness that’s tormenting them on the inside.
My fellow shippers, do yourself a favour, spare yourself the potential headache and stress and avoid this shipping company who have blatant disregard for their customers….for if something ever goes wrong with your shipment….you will get no resolve from the staff or owner of this so called company.
I’m glad this experience happened for I found a more professional shipping company and looking forward to preparing for our large upcoming shipment as we continue to invest in the Caribbean. Give your business to people who appreciate their customers and work hard to make them happy….they are out there ?

I have been shipping with this company for quite some time and they are not completely honest with their communication about the shipping duration. However, I continue to support them because I believe that we are human and we all make mistakes. Today marks almost one month since my shipment was collected and because I was told that the arrival time for my shipment would be for September 13, 2024, and to date I haven't heard anything from them, I decided to give them a call. Upon calling, the person on the phone confirmed my arrival time, told me that it was unfair for me to be treated like that, and then said that he would get a supervisor to answer my questions as to to why. My questions were, why wasn't my payment confirmed? Why haven't I received any shipment information especially since it was coming close to the date of arrival?And where exactly is my belongings? Normally, when the items are shipped, I would receive a notification of that. Also, if there is any delay of services, a notification of that is also sent out. Please note that, to this date, I have not heard anything about my shipment. So this is why I called. Of course, I was upset to hear the worker who answered the phone wasn't able to give me an insight as to where my packages were and that he too thought that I wasn't being treated right. He then promised that the supervisor would be calling me back. Before long, Sean the Vice President called me back. He came on the phone with complete arrogance. He behaved like a cocky entitled asshole. He refused to listen to me and cut me off two times claiming he was going to do that to shut me up. I wasn't given a chance to speak and when I tried to, he openly denied my claims. He clearly doesn't respect the consumers who over the years supported his business and made it very known that because of where I am shipping to( Jamaica) he didn't care to get my services. He refused me any paperwork notification and told me that I would have to get my lawyers in order for him to respond. I have since called my MPP, the Better Business Bureau and the Consumer Protective Services. People, please be aware of this company. They are racist and disrespectful. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND LIARS. They keep your items in their warehouse for a very long time and then refuse you any information to support their negligence and inefficiency. TO DATE I STILL DO NOT KNOW WHERE MY BARRELS ARE AND I WAS REFUSED ANY INFORMATION ON THEM. Sean is very rude and unprofessional!

I've been a long time customer with Tradespan....my first shipment was as far back as I can remember to 2015. Throughout those years, I've invested in the Caribbean and have shipped not only barrels but also a container, and many pallets via Tradespan services. To be fair...I've had minor delays and issues with any shipment and I can say I've easily shipped more than 8-10 times....however, the problem you will likely face when dealing with this company....is if you ever were to run into some challenges or have an unsatisfactory customer experience....your feedback will be disregarded and you will be treated like "DIRT". You don't have to believe me....just read a few of the negative comments and see how the responses to customers feedback are written....you can tell by the tone that they have blatant disregard and unappreciation for their customers....and this is especially coming from the owner of the company SEAN. Back in early June....I place an order for pick up of a barrel and three boxes. The customer agent over the phone clearly stated they accept etransfer, or cash. When the driver showed up....he told me he was unable to accept the etransfer payment which I was prepared to do in real time right there during the pick up. I was stunned because I know for a FACT I've paid via etransfer in the past and was also advise by the customer rep that I could. When I asked him why I was unable to do etransfer...he said he had no info as to why but was told I am a "cash client". Thankfully he was patient enough to wait for me to run to the nearest ATM to grab some cash. I was so confused, and flustered and embarrassed for I was to travel in the next two days. I thought the unpleasant experience ended there but when I called to naturally inquire why etransfer ....well the owner of the company, SEAN made it worst. He first started off by explaining that I was a cash client because there were three failed attempts at collecting the etransfer payment on ONE occasion several years ago.....now if anyone has done e transfers in the past that is NOT AUTODEPOSIT....you know someone can easily run into an issue if the answer to the pass phrase is not given or written down correctly. I tried to explain this point as well as the fact that...even if I was flagged in their system SEVERAL YEARS ago....then the customer service agent should have told me they will NOT accept etransfer from me then (as stated she told me etransfer was one of the options) and provided other alternative methods of payment.....Sean's justification to that was that they will never inform a customer over the phone that they are a cash only client because it may cause embarrassment to the customer...as if having the driver show up to then dispatch in to the office and advise you that he cannot take etransfer isn't even more embarrassing.....not only is that more embarrassing but if the driver did not wait for me to grab cash (which he would have been within his right not to) that could have also jeopardize my shipment and caused it to not be picked up in good timing. I tried to explain this point to SEAN respectfully and he became condescending and arrogant....again this tone can be visibly in his responses online to negative reviews.
Hey SEAN....if you learned nothing from COVID,...what you should learn is that no business is immune from going down, no matter how well they are doing today and without the support of your customers, you would not have a business...so learn to humble yourself and be more appreciative of your customers and stop getting into ego battles with them...it's not a good look and is very unprofessional....someone needs to tell you this. Thousands of dollars spent with your company over the years, you get your money in full at all times so for you to treat me and other customers like we are garbage is not cool. Hope you truly reflect on this and recognize where you were wrong but something tells me you won't. You've lost me as a customer...I will spend my hard

Please beware of this shipping company.
Lack of communication. I shipped my two barrel the ending of May and was told that I would receive my barrel July 22. I’m travelling on the 21st which would good. I called today asking about any updates because I haven’t gotten any communication or email from them from the time I shipped in May.
When I called today I was told that my barrel got delay by two to three weeks, I understand things happen but the fact that they didn’t even communicate to me that the barrel was delay in Canada I’m getting married on July 25 and my barrel is arriving the 5 of August. If they had communicated and say something I would have prepared myself because the barrel not reaching in time. The lady who I spoke with told me that I should have shipped earlier. Since May I gave you my barrel and now I’m seeing online that my June 30 they finally shipped it with NO COMMUNICATION. Thousand of dollars down the drain. I will not be using tradspan cargo again. Unprofessional.

Was a good experience i was updated along the way. I got someone each time I called, which was twice. Nothing was missing from both barrels I sent. Will be a returning customer in the future.

I was charged $140.for 1 box also $140 for 2 boxes which doesn't make sense. Girl at customer service was horrible. Stay away. Not listening talking over you and rude

Horrible customer service.
I was quoted one price $2448 and they refused to honor the quote. I was told they didn't know why I was quoted that price at the time.
There was no mention of promo or expiry etc at the time. In the very same email chain, I communicated with them to inquire about shipping schedule. At no time there was mention of increase charges or provided an updated quote.
They attempted to charge me higher price of $3600 for same size of crate over $1,100. Even with fuel surcharges and other expenses this is a drastic change.
I am not making this up as I have all the emails to validate this review. If the owner was not part of the email chain, I will suggest he/she make an internal inquiry amongst his employees. Use this as opportunity to improve.
I have since found an alternative freight forwarding company.
I do not recommend. Stay far away....
