“This is my go to jeweller. I have been a happy customer for years. As a hobby I collect vintage jewelry. The jewellers are skilled craft people, they authenticate, clean, size and restore all my pieces to the best of their ability. For those who are claiming to get low prices for their jewelry, pawn is a business of buying at the lowest possible price. Additionally, jewelry is not a great investment. Most jewelry stores mark up jewelry due to cost of operation. At the pawn shop is when you realize how much you overpaid for the goodwill of a brand name. Instead of decrying the pawn shop, why don’t you first attempt to sell the item back to the place from whence it was purchased? ……yeah! This is why I collect as a hobby and not as an investment.”
