Was at Chucks on Dundas in Cambridge. Just sat down. Adam the bartender came to me and said If you are going to ask why our patio is not open, I won't serve you in a very strong Arm way. Said I'll serve you this time but not next time. Will not go back.

Ordered from chucks fort Erie tonight February 14th. Told to pick up at 706pm driving there get a phone call saying they can't do takeout tonight and cancelled my order after I already paid. Asked for a refund said they can't give a refund only can give it as cash and I would have to come back tmrw to speak to the manager. We were already almost there so we went to see what's going on. Manager on duty refused to give a refund said she can't and told us we would have to get a cash refund tmrw. Do not go here! Scammers. They have my money, we have no food. Took my credit card but can't reverse the charges. Working on cash is a huge red flag. If I could give them zero stars I would. Will never eat here again. They better hope they refund my credit card asap.

Chuck's Roadhouse 283 Kingston Road, Ajax ONc/o Obsidian Group Inc. 1770 Argentia Rd, Mississauga ONAttention: Chris Sideris VP, Chuck'sComplaint with Chuck's Roadhouse (Ajax): double charged for meal using debit tap. Server said charges didn't go through and then redid the transaction. Manager, Greg Nasiako was not on site but was on the phone and said there is nothing they can do. We cannot refund you because the Moneris machine does not allow refunds (which I have not heard of before). I then asked for cash refund because the money was directly taken from bank account and they received the funds. He refused to refund cash. They said they would need to contact Moneris and it will take 3 - 5 business days. Dinner was Dec. 18, 2021 ... it is now Jan. 06, 2022 and still have not received any refund, updates or call backs.Complaint with Obsidian Group: Sent complaint thru website twice and there is no response. There is no source of Customer Service at all. As a company that prides itself as "Canada's leading, fastest growing and most progressive hospitality companies" they don't do much in terms of customer support or customer satisfaction. Services may already be rendered but it's still an open transaction and an ongoing issue yet to be resolved.

ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICEOn March 12, 2021 I ordered a meal online from Chuck's Road house. The cost of the meal was $24.89 (all in). I had authorized a 10% tip. When I picked up my order I noticed that the amount charged was $51.92. I showed the charge to the onsite employee who was also shocked at the charge and went on to advise that although they couldn't refund the fee there - head office could. They also advised that they don't actually receive those tips and that I could ask for a refund of $27.03. I contacted the organization the next day and left a voice message. The company never returned any of my calls - although I knew they were received as the receptionist advised that she personally forwarded them to the individual that was to resolve the issue (" Sarah"). Sarah did not return my calls until I called back to advise that I would be escalating my complaint. Only then did she call. I explained the situation to her and sent a screen shot of the transaction. She advised it was probably a problem with the site/app'n and that she would take care of it. Today she has still not responded to calls nor emails.

Sent a complaint NO RESPONSE!!!! about a negative experience at the chucks roadhouse in Ajax. My mother and my sons bday dinner was spoiled by a rude and arrogant manager and the food was not satisfactory, the manager refused to fix the over cooked steak brought out and was arrogant in his response and ignorant to food service standards.The fact that my complaint is not taken seriously or addressed tells me they do not care about there customers or franchises.

I'm not sure where all these negative reviews are coming from. I've dealt with Obsidian for years. They are a very good franchisor in my opinion. I think sometimes franchisees have an unrealistic idea of what owning an Obsidian franchise means. It's not a "put your feet up and count the money" proposition. You have to work. But if you do, and if you follow their rules and their model, they will support you all the way. Chris Sideris from their head office in particular, is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Five stars from me.

Had the worst experience dealing with the brothers to purchase a franchise. We ended up walking away and I'm so grateful. There is no support from the franchise owners, they will try to take as much as they can from you and leave you with nothing. Definitely avoid, just some kids with no experience trying to run a company to the ground.
