This gym is pretty garbage. It has some redeaming qualities, like the amount of classes and the outdoor pool (which is operated in the summer only, obviously). But then these good qualities are overshadowed by the clientelle. Many are nice, and I really enjoy being around them. But then you get the trashy ones, the ones that walk the grounds in their boxers and others that play music obnoxiously loud. The over-policing on silly things and the under-policing on the annoying things that actually bother people.
The kids that are hired aren't paid enough and it really shows. I honestly feel bad for the workers, and I wish they gave raises to some of them.
Some of the lifeguards are really nice and then others take the power-trip too far.
I do understand, to a degree, why they refused outside food and drink. Partly because they need to make money and partly because there was that one family that brought catered shawarma platters and left a mess. But the cafes are way overpriced and are crappy. I myself and others are EXTREMELY respectful of the facility. They started searching people's bags which I REALLY DO NOT APPROVE OF! But they said if I don't let them look, then they won't give me access? Is that even lega?
The facility itself gets very overcrowded and the maintenance of the ammenities are poor. I always notice mold growing in the showers and the changeroom facility has a prayer section, which take that as you will some people don't care others do. I've seen more testicles than I'd like to in the co-ed sauna and hot tub (refer to the under vs. over- policing).
We've complained to the management in person to which we were recommended to email to rectify the problem. We did and we've been waiting months on a response.
The cycling bikes are better than the ones available for the public, and I think allowing use of those would be beneficial for many, such as myself.
Overall I feel bad for the staff at this place. They look pretty miserable and they act like it too. When they don't show up for work they shut the pool early and the policies don't really make that much sense. The clientelle can be hit or miss. Overall I go here because Movati and Lifetime charge a LITTLE bit less for way fewer facilities. I would really love a coworking space here as some people do "live" at the club.
Gone are the days when people took pride in their work and cared.

Very nice facility. If you’re paying a premium it better be. But the staff and sales staff are pretty rude. I can’t support negative attitude then I want to go be bettering myself.
The sales staff judge me instantly and said I couldn’t afford this gym.

The gym is getting really expensive and they don’t appreciate their members. The washroom has no body wash and they shut off the water while people are showering just before they close at 12AM. They should keep the water running until they finish showering!!!

I'm very upset with how management is treating us customers by turning off the water and showers at 12 without giving us any notice...it used to be 12:10 for a year now and we were content with that but now it's changed suddenly and it's very disrespectful as we pay the most expensive membership fee in Canada...as a long standing member I hope we can resolve these issues soon!

We put the membership on hold a year ago due to COVID, and they just charged our credit card without confirming with us. This is very unprofessional. We can't get a hold of them easily either. This is an expensive membership with poor service.
Change of review — Lifetime resolved the issue without any trouble.

Honestly Im very disappointed. After being a member in the first years when this location opened - it is no where near the same. Way to over capacity, weights are never to be found. Goodluck getting a machine between 3pm-8pm. Dirty stained towels, grout and silicone in the shower have mold, religious activities being partaken within the change room. This is beyond me and I have to pause my membership for the time being. It honestly quite ridiculous the Vaughn and Ajax location are much clearer and respectable. If it wasnt for the pool this gym should deserve a 0/5

lara is an amazing pt! i started off with a pbf of 33% which quickly reduced to 27, as well as lost 4 lbs after only three weeks with her. i couldn’t have gotten such quick results without her guidance! she took the time to listen to and understand my goals which i really appreciated, and put together a program that fit my own schedule and needs. she really made me fall in love with the gym again now that i am finally seeing results and feeling stronger! thank you so much lara!!

The indoor leisure pool is closed due to a broken pump. Members (as confirmed by front desk) are to be allowed to use the one outside due to the indoor closure. My husband was permitted to go through with my son. When I arrived 20 minutes later with my daughter I was told I wasn’t allowed out there and had to use my own guest pass to go outside to join my husband and son.
Poor experience. Do better Jason. Will follow up with an email to corporate because I find this to be extremely discriminatory to allow my husband in and then to deny me the same access when we are all members. Disgusting.

Lara is an amazing personal trainer! She really took the time to understand my goals and created workouts that were perfect for me. She’s super motivating and knows exactly how to push you while keeping things fun. I’ve seen great results and always look forward to our sessions. Highly recommend Lara if you want a trainer who genuinely cares and gets results!

I love this gym. It helped me so much at the beginning of my fitness journey when I didn’t know how to workout at all! I was shy of trainers at first so I started taking fitness classes and just copied instructors doing the workouts. Lifetime offers so many different group fitness classes and the instructors are very friendly and push you to do your best! One of the best coaches is Mariela! She practically teaches all kinds of classes and she lights up the class when she motivates us through her amazing musical playlists! Eventually when I became more confident in working out I started to branch outside of fitness classes and focus on my strength and conditioning. Lifetime offers those same class formats on the lifetime app! But it’s definitely more fun to workout as a group that motivates you and pushes you to do your best as a team. The coaches are great and hop into the workouts to make it fun! Thanks guys.
