Experienced great customer service when I came here bout 4 years ago so I decided to come back. I prefer to buy batteries from the source so i dont have to worry so much about how long they've had them and/or whether or not Im getting a fresh battery. I also appreciated that they run a diagnostic test on the battery before you purchase it which gets emailed to you on the spot so you have verification of the status/health of your battery.
I travelled from Ajax to get a new battery after experiencing a few slow cranks when starting up my CRV. I have an MTX-35 battery which I bought for the cold cranking amps for winter starts. I was sure it was the battery until I got to Interstate.
Clarence, the Interstate rep ran a series of tests and determined that my battery which I bought 4 years ago was still practically new. (The reason why I invest in good batteries). Clarence then performed some more load testing on the battery and alternator and confirmed it was the alternator. He explained everything along the way in detail and confirmed why it was the alternator and not the battery. Im SO happy that he was honest because he could've just sold me a battery for their sale numbers. The only bittersweet part is that the alternator costs more than a battery but at least I didnt buy the battery only to find out later it was the alternator. You have to appreciate HONEST, CONSCIENTIOUS employees these days when we dont have a dollar to waste.
My only gripe if I had to name one would be that they need a location out east for your customers out in Durham and beyond. Having said that, there are lots of businesses that only have one or two locations so NOT a dealbreaker. Just wouldve been nice to have a Sauga location for the west, the Woodbridge location for central customers and something out east for us Durham folk and onwards. Having said that, the customer service is outstanding at your Mavis location so Im happy to make the trip. had I lived out in Bowmanville or Courtice, Im not sure Id be so happy but the exemplary customer service MORE than makes up for it.
Thanks again Clarence for your hard work and for your advice and support this weekend. It was definitely worth the drive as I was being told that it was more than likely my battery. Because of the stereo system I have installed, Im going to invest in a higher output alternator that will charge my battery better which will help with my aftermarket system. See you in a few years when the battery eventually needs changing!! Hope you're still there Clarence. Cheers!

None of the pricing on the website is correct. At all and they inflate the prices inside there store. Very unprofessional. It's a scam, just to get you in the door and hope you don't notice. Do not recommend coming here.

Kevin was the salesman/worker who helped me. He brought in my old batteries (for my scooter), tested the new ones and took them out to the car. He was the nicest guy and very polite. He deserves a raise. Thank you Kevin you made my day.

I went to Interstate to see if they could recharge an UPS battery. The gentleman at the front gave me the feeling of genuinely wanting to help me. I ended up buying a new battery and opting for recharging the old one at the later date, as this was a faster solution.I am glad I found this place and will be recommending it to my friends.

I always buy the AGM Interstate batteries for my diesel truck. Got almost 10 years out of my last set and have just purchased new ones to replace them. They had stock and had my batteries ready to go upon arrival.
