No DISCLAIMER regarding LARGE SCREEN CLOSE-UP Surveillance cameras @ Self scan CHECKOUT. Recently added monitoring staff(Standing in front & 2 people at regular cashier CHECKOUT. Only 1 staff on floor. Checked 2 other Dollarama locations similar self scan checkouts (No monitoring staff/1 person at regular checkout.Dollarama Head Office needs to better regulate this location to make sure Customers are treated with more respect & dignity.FYI: Mall has W--D Canibus,LCBO,Beer Store & Tim stores.

Attached is snapshot of email reply received from DollarRama Customer Service which clearly says "there are no restrictions and no limit regarding the use of Canadian coins at our self-checkout kiosks."
Where as an employ did not allowed me to use coins by telling a lie that according to By-Law (which do not exists) I can use coins worth more that $10.

I wanted to use coins at self checkout. On duty employee told me that according to BY-LAW I can not use coins more than 10$. I went to service counter while she was scanning my items I asked where I can see this by-law. She arrogantly replied I don't know. After some arguments she called other employee to scann remaing items and left the counter.

Why isn’t anything for a dollar if it’s called dollarama?? Seriously I went and stuff were minimum 2-3$ like what???? Change the name to 2-3dollarama!!!!!!!!!??

This dollarama is the best I find everything I need it has a lot of stuff even stools and really cute basket and the staff is also really kind. I would recommend this to everyone??

I would give no stars if possible. Terrible,Terrible customer service. As a mother with children, I was surprised by the unnecessary watching. Not a peaceful shopping experience. Place is cluttered and the staff is very unfriendly, they only appear to monitor your activity but not actually help, they seem highly unprofessional and disorganized.
Its 2024 folks this behavior should not be happening or tolerated. It doesn't matter how many people who are non minorities say it's a great place...it's not great if everyone does not receive the same treatment regardless of color. I don't normally write reviews but it seems I am not the only other adult person of color who is finding it necessary to speak up.
Would not recommend this location.

What used to be a dollar store now multi dollars. They normally appeal to people because of their previous pricing policy of a dollar per item. The only advantage of buying here is it's easier to find items because it's a smaller place but there is no advantage here pricewise.

They have really stepped up when it comes to items, ive bought so many things for under $4 that i also found at walmart between $10-$20-update- ...I was racially profiled in this store over the past weekend and my daughter got to witness it, followed up to self checkout and watched. Nobody else was, he kept watching me and no one else, other people were cashing out yet he waited til I was done...said have a nice day and walked back into the isles. I would say he was just doing his job but when he purposely got in front of us when we were walking to self checkout...there's no way I wasn't profiled, I'm mixed. Visible as a minority....thanks for that dollarama.
