Good place for local, organic, and gluten-free products. I had a pretty unusual experience with the lady behind the front counter this morning. I tried to pay with cash and I was told “it’s too early for me to take that.” She refused to take a $50 bill - it was totally fine as I paid using a credit card, but I’ve never dealt with anything like this before.

Great choices...fresh and frozen...like the prepared foods...but I think some things are overpriced due to it's location

I place a order with Cousin Market when I arrived my order was not available. My arrival time was 4:50 pm on Friday on time. I spoke to Tony and he verbally told me if I can wait 30 minutes or he can deliver the order with an additional discount due to the inconvenience. The order arrived 1:20 minutes later. Which was extremely late. I was given the tray with some flowers and a folded receipt. After putting down the tray I open the receipt to find no discount. I immediately call but no one answered the phone. I tried Saturday morning and Tony answered. I verbally said to him I did not received the discount on my order because of not having my order when I arrived at Cousin’s and a extremely late delivery. He completely change his wording ( LIE ) “and said he never said that “.I was shocked by his statement. BUT! he did say that he made a kind gesture by giving me flowers ( which I did not agreed to ). He refused to give me the discount that was promised by him verbally. I call a second time to speak to the owner and he also refused to compensate me and when on to say he run a multi million business. He blatantly disregard me with his untrue statement with the conversation with Tony. I do not like untruth people. Please don't treat people with dishonesty because one day your lies will expose you for who you really are. I will not recommend this Cousin’s Market to anyone to avoid this happening to them. They are not trustworthy people and eventually they will be exposed for who they are. I am only one person speaking out about injustice. Treat everyone with honesty please.

It's a good store for some premium foods, but the products are overpriced(even compared to fine food shops), and the food is often past the expiration date. Today I saw cheese that had expired 3 weeks ago, and saw that it had been relabelled. I looked at the label underneath and saw that it actually expired a month before that. The produce is often brown and rotting, and they just mix it in with the new stuff. The meat selection is very good, and seafood too, but again, not always fresh. It's very hit or miss, so be sure to inspect any perishable item before buying.

Such a great place. Their donuts are good and in house "cousins" tomato sauce is pricey but so worth it.

The service is bad, there are few employees, they behave very incorrectly, especially the owner, at the entrance they force you to leave your bags in full access, anyone can take valuable things from there.

Since moving into the neighbourhood seven years ago I have visited twice.The first time I was motivated by the fact it was the only grocery left within easy walking distance. I found the selection moderate, the prices excessive, the service snotty.Though I'd moved here to enjoy a walkable neighbourhood, thus motivated by this experience, I bought a car not long after.Just now I went in again, drawn by the Balzac's Coffee sign. Got ignored completely by the two coffee bar staff while standing at the register for a palpable amount of time, and once again left empty-handed.I guess you have to look rich, not just well-groomed, to be served here.
