I came here the other day to get some plain black exterior paint for some planters. There were 2 others ahead of me that wanted to occupy extensive time with the solo lady who was working there about various paint colors for their house. I waited 15 minutes and then left. She is unable to time manage the customers and cannot answer straight forward questions without you having to wait your turn. If people want to have a lengthy consultation of paint colors for their house there needs to be some sort of system where they book an appointment with a second staff member.
I went to home depot instead and was serviced within 5 ninutes.

I like going here because it's not busy and easy to go through paint colours without bumping into anyone. That being said, you'd expect to be acknowledged and offered assistance when entering the store. There was one other person in the store when I visited, and I waited 20 minutes to get any help.

The store provides good service when the owner is there but otherwise the lady with the grim, sour demeanor seems to have several chips on her shoulder (not the paint chip kind) and is curt, ungracious, condescending and a downer when she deals with customers in a depressing manner as if she got out of the wrong side of the bed that morning and perhaps every day and doesn't want to be there serving customers! She also gives bad advice and says you don't need a primer if the old paint on the wall is a similar color in order to sell more paint which is more expensive than primer. In my experience, after multiple coats of paint, the wall still looked patchy, until a coat of primer was applied followed by a coat of paint. She needs a customer service 101 course on how to greet customers, and how tone and body language form 80% or more of communication. Most folks go to the paint store to uplift their place, brighten up things and the last thing they need is a desultory, downer demeanor when selecting and purchasing paint! The other lady who used to be there was much more pleasant and easy to deal with. I sincerely hope that this lady gets the training that she needs, especially since the store owner is quite pleasant, and but for this lady’s attitude, the store is a good store.

Received amazing customer service from staff at Paintscapes and from Cottage Paint sales rep. I was having difficulty using the products on my very old furniture. Paintscapes and Cottage Paint were quick to help and finding solutions for me. Excellent customer service. Successful products as a result. Many thanks.
