Many things are still very new or unopened.
If you buy electrical or electronic products, the most important thing is to try them carefully.

It used to be good, unfortunately not anymore.
I mean I don't know how do they price most of their stuff, a ripped man's jacket is priced over $30 while you can get a new one from hart for $20 or other stors just keep an eye out for a sale, in the global fashion some of those Long dresses you can get them new for $10 but at value village they're priced over $10, some things are from Dollarama and they sell it for $3.99, cups, plates and water bottles from Dollarama are more expensive add value village than new ones from Dollarama.
And the list goes on and on.

High prices for nothing special clothes. Most of the toys were junk. There was a wide selection of bags, footwear & curtains but I did not find much treasures & trendy pieces that other locations have. Barely any designer labels - I didn’t see much brand names - nothing more exclusive than Adidas. Lots of people seemed to be just hanging out in the store. People coughing out in the open & lord have mercy I smelled B.O. for Markham I expected better.

A lot of merchandise, but some are not washed, they shouldn't be accepted and put for sale

Have they forgotten the point of second hand shopping? It's to buy AFFORDABLE clothing. I understand this is not a charity but can we be for real, these clothes are DONATED.
Most of the clothes here are so expensive it would be better off buying clothes new. Not to mention the god awful selection. Never in my life have I seen so much shein (they rip off the tags as if we can't tell) or h&m brands at a value village. Are we shopping at a landfill? I mean its called value village but is the "value" in the room with us?
If you truly care about second hand shopping do not donate to value village and instead to actual charities.
